Hello everyone. Thought I would share my experience with the Tycan battery recall and PCNA. I sent an email to PCNA requesting info on when a fix would be available. I spoke to a woman that opened a case for me. After back and forth emails, she told me that PCNA was going to replace the battery. I made an appointment with my local Porsche Center and dropped off the car. They did provide a rental. All the Porsche center did was test the battery yet again. They found no problems and notified me the car was ready for pick up. I contacted PCNA advised them what happened and was told she would get back to me. She called me and stated there were two options. 1) PCNA could re-purchase the car from me or 2) I could take a one time good faith offer. I chose the re-purchase. The next day, I received an email stating that my car didn’t qualify. Why make that offer in the first place? I informed her that was not satisfactory and she said she would get back to me. She was going to check further in to the battery replacement. The next day, I received an email that PCNA would not be replacing the battery. My suggestion is, join the class cation law suit or hire your own attorney. It appears Porsche is going to do nothing for this recall unless forced to by the NHTSA. VERY upsetting they are allowed to get away with this. We’ll now have a very expensive fire hazard.

I would assume that *your* car's battery is not affected or degraded, so your car is not devalued or faulty like some others are.
I would assume that it is owners of actual confirmed faulty cars that will be offered for buy back or "compensation".
I don't understand the mindset of trying to leverage a company to buy back a non faulty product?

False thread, first post ever…🤔 He’s had the vehicle multiple years and never posted, just go away.

This is not a fake post. My apology for mistyping Taycan. Just because this is my first post doesn’t mean I am not real.

if my battery is ok why hasn’t the recall been lifted? Why haven’t they given us anything that says it is ok to charge to 100%?

Have they given any of you anything that’s states your recall has been satisfied and your recall has been closed?

They have.
Or rather, the recommendation not to charge to 100% was only for those without remote monitoring enabled AND who had not had a dealership inspection.

@Cherryjock - Thanks for the PDF. I've not seen anything like that in the US. It's super frustrating as the dealer gives bad information, PCNA sends you to the dealer, and formal communications like this is not happening.

Not the case for me. I got notice of recall ARB7 recall, took it in for inspection and SW update and was asked to not generally charge beyond 80%. I was also getting charging errors both from L2 and DC chargers mid-charge. That problem seems to have been fixed by the SW update and I've charged beyond 80% several times. On the plus side, I feel like the dealership has told me what they know and covered everything under warranty/recall, always offering loaners.

I've owned enough Porsches over the years (including n/a 996) to know that the FUD that often dominates these threads and boards often contain more speculation, pearl clutching, and misunderstanding and try to filter that out. I'd hoped that folks here would stick to sharing their experiences rather than attacking new participants and nitpicking spelling.
