Yes Bob - From memory, dropped off at 0930 ish and got a call to pick up at around 1500 ish - So just went coffee, shopping, lazy lunch etc - Cheshire Oaks is just a cock-stride from OPC - BTW I asked them not to clean it (only trust myself for that), so that helped reduce the time... Cheers

if its any help, i've just rang around for a 4 year service (including brake fluid change)
Cambridge ( Jardine ) - £826 inc vat
Leicester ( Sytner ) - £630 inc vat
Nottingham ( Pendragon ) £765
Hatfield ( PRG ) £1034 inc vat (ouch)

all still a fair bit of money for what is involved, but hey ho. Looks like Leicester it is.

ouch, yeah, plus they were the only ones who told me that it would be a drop off and pick up the next afternoon (whereas everyone else was fine with hanging around for the day. hatfield was the furthest afield for me too, so i don't much want to do 2 x 3-4 hour round trips just for a bloody service!

very disapointing though, i would have expected official porsche place to be the most accommodating and cheapest.

Cheapest, maybe not, but most accommodating should be expected at least.

In some areasthere’s still some ‘local’ competition within reasonable distance, rather than a monopoly.
Sytner isn’t necessarily always the cheapest
For my 911 I found Sytner Edinburgh, where I bought it, more expensive than JCT Newcastle. The scope of work was identical.
Shop around.

Hoping for a better quote from Brooklands (independent) as Reading (prg) £1098 and High Wycombe (Ryland) £1066 for upcoming 4 year service.

High Wycombe scope of work on quote is clearer and includes drains inspection. Reading no mention, so items that are there are more expensive.

E.g. Reading £25 environmental charge, High Wycombe £9.99

when i called sytner it was a "central" call center and they did bookings for a bunch of sytners. I asked if they were all the same price and he said yes. so, who knows whats going on.

half tempted to just get it "serviced" by my local ICE independent (he does EV's too, but i use them for all my families ICE stuff). lets face it, all that needs to be done is a brake fluid change and resetting the smartservicing stuff (all of the OPC's literally gave this as a "feature" of the servicing of the taycan!!.... resetting....the smart servicing alerts... just wow. sign me up right now!

Similar to your experience that its a central call centre for JCT600 - waiting for Sheffield directly to call me back about price matching Leicester.

Just booked with Sheffield - decided to avoid the call centre and direct dial to the service chap who was looking at the Sat Nav issue.

4 year service, hire car and they removed the brake fluid change - £409 including VAT

so they wanted 400quid to do the brake fluid??? a 100quid job at best.

did you have it done a year or two ago or something?

Brake fluid was done last year during the brake hose recall.

They wanted £200+VAT for the brake fluid.

Not sure why the price went down to £409, but I spoke to Sheffield directly as they seemed to offer me a much better price over the JCT call centre price.
