Which version ? CT vs CT 4S

Yup, that's what I'm afraid of.

I just got a speeding ticket of 276 EUR because I drove at 56 km/h in Brussels on a street on which the speed limit was 50 for decades but was changed to 30 last year.

Made me want to kill myself...

I understand that feeling.... I had a similar (but worse) situation, in Brussels

They gave me a 4S as a loaner once, for a few days. You feel the difference , the extra-boost, no doubt. Do I miss it ? No.

The sales guy told me I could fit aftermarket bars on a CT. Looks like that guy really wants me to buy him a car

Educate your sales guy and walk him through the Porsche configurator - it is in black and white if they care to look. If this is an official Porsche Centre then I'd write to HQ on the grounds of potential mis-selling.

Also check that either car has a heat pump (is standard in Europe (weather)) for added efficiency. May be standard on 4S but perhaps not 4.

Both cars have the heat pump. That, along with 93.4 kwh battery and pneumatic suspension seem to be standard at that dealer.

Hi Everyone,

I’m new to the Forum and new to Porsche more generally.

I’m on the verge of leasing a Cross Turismo (currently have a BMW 545E).

I’m going for existing inventory, and I hesitate between two cars. They have the same price, the same color and the same wheels. They basically look identical except that one of them has roof bars.

They main differences are:

The first car is a CT 4S: notable options are performance battery, PDLS+, pneumatic suspension, 14-way seats, power steering, internal lighting pack.

The second one is a base CT, has the same options as the 4S but also has a panoramic roof, adaptive cruise control and sport chrono pack.

I did not get to test the 4S, so I’m not sure whether the power difference is worth it vs. the extra options on the base CT.

What would you guys go for?

Yup, I tend to use it a lot on my car as well. As soons as I get into traffic, I hit the button and chill.

It's really the only option I would miss on the 4S.

In the end, this whole conundrum can be summarized as : ACC or 1 second faster from 0 to 100kmh?

Tough choice but there is no way I would buy one without ACC. I have had it in my last three Porsches as well as the equivalent in my Defender and I would absolutely not buy a car without it. It’s not just a convenience feature, it is a safety feature. I also really love the roof so not having the panoramic roof would be an issue for me

I'd have to agree on the safety side of the ACC. It saved my ass more than once in the BMW... It's really an important option...

4S definitely. You can’t have enough power. Pano roof is a heat sink in summer. Would have omitted it on my car if that were an option.

We went with the 4 CT rather than the 4S CT because the extra acceleration (and that's the only functional difference between the two) wasn't worth it. It's never going to see a track, and in traffic flooring the accelerator in the 4 CT makes it go like a stabbed rat.

Instead of half a second off zero to 60 and red brake calipers we got the tech package, premium package, night vision, rear wheel steering, thermally insulated glass, and the 150kW DC booster.

Absolutely agree! 4S is the sweet spot. 4 is dull in comparison.

All CTs have Performance Battery Plus and Air as standard - regardless of region. Just noticed today that a new UK order for a T4CT has the heat pump as an option hence why I mentioned it.

Adaptive Cruise Control is indeed very nice if you live in a busy urban area with a lot of stop n go traffic during rush hour.

I thought all Cross Turismo models came with the height adjustable air suspension standard (as Gravel Mode is a standard drive mode for all CTs, at least its that way in the US).

The power difference between the 4S and base 4 is noticeable if you drive it hard and like to push it, but in regular real world daily driving situations you may not notice that difference.

Heat pump is not standard in Belgium. But is does make a big difference in winter road trips. But most of them have it. 150 kw charger is standard on the CT in Belgium. 22 kw is optional and nice to have.
