Two of my favorite features…but I’d be choosing RAS if forced to make a decision. But as many have said, go for both, you won’t regret it!!

I bent mine. Couldn’t take the potholes in the spring.
Damn sucks. Thats why I am getting that tire and wheel package probably. On the fence.

Really appreciate this forum with helping make a solid decision. I might as well do both since I'll have this car for a good 2-3 years.

When I initially spec'd mine, I did not have either. Soon after placing my order/deposit, I thought about it some more and added RAS. I had it on my Cayenne and knew it was good.

The night before my freeze (2 days ago), I decided to splurge a bit more and on a whim, added the massage seats. I'm glad I did it and I'm really excited about it. I don't get to go for massages often and do have a sore back every morning from sleeping on my side, so why not? I originally had the sport seats (18 way) selected and the massage seats necessitated a change to the 14 way, which everyone says are more comfortable. I had the 18 way adaptive in my cayenne and have to agree.. the hip/side bolsters were high and uncomfy for me.

Do both, because YOLO!

Hey Guys,

Freeze date is coming up pretty soon in 6 days for my RWD. Last decision is do I keep rear axle steering or massaging seats? I am conflicted as I am hearing rear axle steering really makes the car even more fun to drive and easier to maintain the big length/width.

I am also hearing the massaging seats are amazing and everyone who has optioned them didn't regret it.

I have been at three dealers and none have an optioned massage seats for me to try out. Any thoughts?

RAS… it’s a big car. More of a necessity (which also helps high speed driving) vs an absurd luxury of massaging seats. I have the seats and they are amazing - but def not a necessity.

Why are the massage seats an absurd luxury? One may argue that the whole choice of getting a 150k+ car is absurd too, but here we all are. ?

Unless, @NuJerzPorsche , you are really able to keep only one of the 2 options for budgetary reasons and thus, are asking us which one to keep?

I don't think we can say one is more a necessity than the other. If I had to pick, I'd probably go with the massage seats because comfort means a lot to me and I don't typically find myself in tight spots where RAS really helps.

What do you want to prioritize? Vehicle performance or your comfort?

PS: get both.

Another vote for RAS.
But as others said: if you like massage, take it too.
(i didn’t like it.)

air suspension over both, or if you've optioned air suspension then i'd choose rear steer.

One more thought - You might want to stop by your local audi dealer - I only ordered the Porsche massage seats because I’d previously tested an e-tron and tried out the massage seats then. Basically the massage function is the same.

I debated which of these boxes to check and went with massage seats. Don't know what I am missing without RAS, but satisfied with turning radius. I use the car as a daily driver and use the massage seats on almost every drive. First car I have had with this feature and probably wouldn't buy another car without it.

Why no 21" rims? I have the 21" spyders on mines.
Have 21's RAS and massage seats - all great but if honest almost never use the massage function and was thinking more for the wife - zero issues with 21's and absolutely love the look - if you really have to choose between RAS and massage there's no choice imo, get the RAS.

This car is significantly bigger and wider than my car before.

I want to have fun with this car and I am in Texas so plenty of space, open along with a garage for two. I had massage seats on a Merc before and it was good but I heard this one in the Taycan is even better.

This car is going to be my DD btw.
You in TX, and you're worried about RAS? The lanes are typically big, and straight so you won't have much of a chance to use it. On a few times that I needed to make a u-turn, I was able to do so without having to do a 3-point turn. As for the massaging seats, are you going to be in the car long enough to enjoy it? Is your back in bad shape that requires it? I have a $10k massage chair at home that got a lot of use in the first 3 months, and now just a big paper weight.
