have been waiting for the car to be released from san diego port for few days, it arrived actually on the 4th, app says the 6th, and delivery was the 9th. until today, when it updated to the 30th.

i am jack's unbridled disappointment.

no idea why, what the issue is. my dealer is just as in the dark as i am. in fact sometimes the app info was more up to date than his database. porsche north america has been typically reticent and zero help on the issues. so. we wait.

edit: dealer says this is the heater it's waiting for. so, i guess they are just shipping them without heaters to keep the bottleneck from the factory and german port and dealing it out among the many ports of delivery to lessen the density.

sigh. one day this will be over. #firstworldprobsaware

I just got the news from my SA that mine has been released from the port of Baltimore to head out to the dealership. However, my SA says the next communication will be the moment it is on the truck which can be days. See exact quote from my SA below:

"You Taycan has been released from the port to ship to our dealership. The next notice that we will receive is the invoice from Porsche, which is released once your car is on a truck. That could be any time. But it could also be several days. No way to tell. But I will keep you posted."

TYD has not moved to Stage 10. Not really sure why it takes almost 3 weeks to release for transport:

Mine has been sitting at San Diego port since 4/24. Pretty sure there is a long wait ahead of you since all the TYD deliver dates are just placeholder.

The latest deliver date I got is 6/14 (today) and there is no news for my car to leave the SD port. I won't be surprised it gives me another random date tomorrow or later this week.

edit: just checked after my post, TYD now updated to 6/29 which safely to say is another placeholder. gotta love this first world problem.

On what date did yours exit the factory/complete build?

left about 5/2. (meaning may 2, not feb 5) went right to emden and right on a boat pretty much. within a week it was on its way.

Similar date to you, I wonder if the quality hold preventing mine from being released is also heater related.

My TYD dates are exactly the same. Arrived to the San Diego port on 6/6 and was supposed to be at the dealer on 6/10 which didn’t happen. Yesterday suddenly the TYD delivery date changed to 6/30. It’s been so hard remaining patient after multiple delays throughout the process but it’ll be worth the wait. I don’t know of another car I’d prefer.

Days go by and no more news on the transport, or TYD updates, so this week is not going to happen. My guess is that stage 1 of 2 is getting through the port which is customs with the speed defined by the throughput of processing incoming vehicles (Baltimore vs. Houston would be different), then now stage 2 of 2 is getting through Porche quality checks before transport, which is where I am and basically a dead zone in terms of knowing anything. I am not able to figure out if anyone got any vehicles from Baltimore in the last 2 months. My dealer got one 4S example in late March and another early April, which would go through Baltimore.

My TYD just got updated and dates got pushed back another week. Has been in Halifax for >1 month at this point.
