Sudden drastic loss of range

Im going to make an Appoinment with the dealer on Monday but wanted to ask if anyone has seen this, I have a 2020 4S that generally gets around 195-205 range at 85% Recently I went to use it and it showed only 125 miles so I drove it for a couple of day and charge it again and sure enough back to 125. Then I drove on a 100 mile round trip and came home with a little under 30 miles left charge and still back to 125. Im concerned a section of my pack has failed though there are no warning lights or errors.

Unless you now have drastically cold ambient temperatures sounds like a battery issue or the management system (BMS) misreporting.

Also important to know your battery SOC after the trips to compare with listed range. Remember that range is a PCM estimate but charge is a measurement.

Im in Florida even though its been cooler here I dont think its cold enough to matter. The SOC of charge is dropping drastically as I drive. I was loosing a percentage point a min. The range estimate appears to be accurate.

I have recently purchased a GTS ST and driven first 2500 miles with top box and rear bike rack (plus bikes) on it in France. Now back in Uk with 3 week old car that is showing 175mile range @ 100% - this is much less than I expected (230+) - not driven hard and heating on eco - do I have a problem

That needs to be looked at by a technician. Sounds like the battery problem I had last year. My HV Battery controller failed and gave very similar results.

I also have a new GTS ST. 2,500 on clock. 3 months old. Plenty of spirited driving (and short city trips). In this weather I’m seeing 200miles at 100%. 175 when at 85.

Thanks - it’s now showing 152 @ 85% - not my first rodeo with EV - had an i3S before which would be showing 180@100% - this was supposed to be a big upgrade in range but feeling I’ve bought the wrong car ?

Yeah, that drop isn't right. I drove today fairly spirited and only dropped 11% over more than 25 miles in the city. Let service figure it out and fix it.

I’m sorry to hear that. I’m in South Florida and if I want to get to a dealer it takes about 6-7 weeks of waiting

While you’re waiting for the dealership to look at it, and an OBD scan tool and the CarScanner app. You’ll be able to see if there are bad cells.

Well it’s been cold in France and uk recently My GTS new in sept 23 (Spain around 20-25C) was offering around 350km at 100%. Just drove Spain - uk - Italy; a full charge is around 250 km 21” spiders with winter tyres. Top box and bike will affect range in addition to temperatures. So I’d expect around 150miles depending on tyres/wheels.
