I have not received a notice, but when I contacted dealer service last week asking about any campaigns for my car, he said my 22 model had campaigns to replace one of the PMC+ cables, (he said cable is not available yet), and 1 to reprogram the thermal management control unit, WPS9.

Asking dealer for info about campaigns for my VIN > notices to me from Porsche.
@ciaranob Speak of the devil/PCNA...
Today in USPS informed delivery, image of envelope from PCNA marked Safety Recall Notice Porsche Campaign APB6.

And, of course, APB6 deals with the PMC+, PMCC cable to the wall plug. If the car gets overtemp faults, that would mean replacing the vehicle-side cable (and the entire PMC+ since that cable cannot be replaced) per this other TSB.

Glad I followed advice from you, @daveo4EV , and others on here to buy a non-Porsche mobile charger.

Same for me today. BTW I have never used this EVSE since I bought the Taycan new in October 2020.

I'd be AMAZED if the dealerships have any decent advice on this matter. Anyway, I am planning to proceed with the @daveo4EV solution described in great detail above (and on other threads that he - or it - visits). Hope others will do the same that we can compare notes here.
Has anyone succeeded in obtaining the $600 "goodwill" reimbursement for a wall charger? The recall notice says, "To be eligible, you must include the following information . . . Proof of purchase of a 3rd party mobile charger . . . ." @daveo4EV has a ton of great advice in this thread for selecting and installing wall chargers, but what if Porsche rejects our claims because our new EVSE are not mobile?

I put in for it two days ago so I will let you know (asked for check; might take 4 weeks per them). I bought a ChargePoint flex w/ a 14-50. plug..not used for mobile normally BUT 14-50 essentially makes it mobile..so we will see. I don't expect a problem.

That's a valid concern. I am reaching my dealer to see if I can get something in writing regarding the Tesla option. I was planning to hold the unit until I received the reimbursement check anyway. My suspicion was that "$600" was the chosen reimbursement level because Tesla and its competitive alternatives were all around the same cost.

A while back I was told by Porsche to replace my Leviton Nema 14-50 wall plug with a Hubbell brand plug or else charge at 50%. I did so and nothing gets very hot since that time (charging at 100% ever since). Now, according to the new recall, I have to replace my entire PMCC charger because the cord leading to the plug gets too hot? Doesnt make sense since i seem to have solved the overheating problem when i replaced the wall outlet per Porsche instructions. Maybe i just wait until the new cords arrive and keep my current charger since i have no problems? Thanks in advance for any advice here.

Recall replaces cable to wall plug only. Separate issue occurs if car gets overtemp codes.

I also put in the Porsche recommended receptacle and high temp proper gauge wire. I'm charging at about 2/3 rated amps and feel comfortable with that, since that charging speed easily brings me back to 80% overnight. Only you can decide whether it's "safe enough" to continue using the Porsche EVSE over 50% rated amps.

*Edit: If they'll pay me to buy a third party, I'm gonna do it.

According to the internal memo from PCNA, the dealer will receive max of $750 reimbursement for providing customer with a 3rd party EVSE.

PCNA would like to offer all Taycan retails reported December 12, 2023 - January 31, 2024 with a reimbursement of up to $750 in order to purchase a third party 240-volt charging solution. Costs reimbursed include shipping, taxes, and the charging solution product. The reimbursement will match these actual costs but will not exceed $750 per event.

In order to receive a charging reimbursement, the Porsche Center must provide PCNA with the following documents within 30 days of the customer sale date:

• A completed and signed APB6 Taycan Mobile Charger Reimbursement Claim Form
• A signed buyer’s order or financing contract

And at least one of the following documents:

• Charging solution receipt
• Credit card billing statement with charging solution cost included

At PCNA's discretion, further documentation may be requested to validate that the charging solution receipt matches the same name identified on the retail delivery in PVMS.

Please note that this reimbursement is defined solely to a third party 240-volt charging solution. Installation expenses are ineligible for this program.

Interesting as other Porsche correspondence indicates owners of Model years 2020-2023 are entitled to a $600 reimbursement for the purchase of 3rd party 240V EVSE! So your post reads like $150 to the dealership for processing but odd that this is specific to 2023-2024?

I read it as they'll get actual cost or $750 whichever is less. $600 plus tax and shipping will definitely be near $750 for some states.

I have the Porsche wall unit that I put the PMCC, so I would argue that my current unit is being used as a wall unit.. I ordered the ChargePoint as well.
