HOWEVER: I have since discovered that I have lost the car's data signal to Porsche Connect so it is not possible to use any App functions and the App is not updated from the car via the Porsche server. I have tried fuses, PCM factory reset (so now can only operate as a guest user in the car) and the issue is further complicated by a windscreen replacement which happened after this (so I cannot be sure when the data signal was lost - or Porsche have not told me yet).

Basic question, but do you still have a Connect services subscription?

Your car turned 3 last Nov and the services are only free for 3yrs.

Your car turned 3 last Nov and the services are only free for 3yrs.
Yes valid to November 24. This is nothing to do with the Connect account which I can still see on the web (and which also think my car stopped sending data on 4th April).

I have an update to my loss of data connectivity issue: last Friday my car recovered the LTE connection...no hard reset, no explanation how or why, nothing from Porsche. No notification of an OTA update but some of my settings had reset overnight. At this point, my Connect account still did not have an update so the website and App showed my car status as at 4th April. The next day, I began to receive Google data on the satnav eg traffic notices and the car synched again to the website and App (though trip data from 4th April to 4th May is not available). The issue is therefore resolved but I have no idea if Porsche AG played a part in this...either via OTA update or by editing my account configuration - or if this is an issue specific to me or a general issue. I have asked Porsche UK to explain...no reply yet.

I had the same issue this week. Porsche collected the immediately and treated it as a breakdown/warranty job with a courtesy car. Within 30 mins of them having it I could see the car had connected to Porsche cloud.

When trying to fix the issue I had put it into privacy mode but then it got stuck in that mode due to having no connection. They told me the problem was because it was in privacy mode, which I said it clearly wasn’t as the car hadn’t connected to Porsche cloud for 4 days, they must have done some other type of reset either intentionally or deliberately. I was a little bit suspicious, it feels like they are trying to not develop an audit trail on it in order to avoid ongoing claims without an end date.

The service was first class, so I think they just accidentally fixed it through a reset of some sort. Either way, if it happens again I’ll be on every detail gathering evidence to protect against any future issues/bills.
