Go and look at both MY23 cars, decide which you prefer and deal hard. You could easily get 10k off the TS (and some of the T).

And if they won't deal, walk away and call them next month to see how keen they are when the same cars are still there :)
You think as much as 10k off and TS? Which do you think is the better car?

If I won a Turbo S in lottery I’d be asking “any chance to have a free dinner in Chez Roux and a Turbo instead?”

Out of the two, the Turbo has options I'd prefer (e..g. Rear steer and adaptive cruise).

I think the TS interior will seem nicer with the contrast stitching.

But these things are highly subjective - what you prefer is what counts.

The 10k comment was the diff between the TS and your budget. They can always say no. And the car can always cost them 1k per mth Sat on the forecourt.

As a PS, it's still a buyers' market on these. And 100k is a lot of cash in anyone's book. So buy the car that's right for you.

Thank you for your reply. How do find your GTS? Did have a test drive in one of these this week.

Yeah and c. £20,000 drops off the Turbo and £25,000 off the Turbo S the moment you drive it off the forecourt …. Only about £15k year 2 off the Turbo but closer to £20k off the Turbo S …. You’ll enjoy 2 years of fun motoring in both! Enjoy ?

Love the GTS ?

You do get used to the power quite quickly. It's only when you jump into other cars that you really remember how powerful these are, and how different EV power deliver is.

I've done 9k miles in it in 6mths, including trips I never intended using it for (700 mile round trip to Cornwall recently).

Some things I would note..

- if you'll have rear seat passengers who are taller than oompah loompahs, seriously, very seriously consider an ST or CT

- take a look at all black interiors before settling. Even small tweaks like stitching can really change the interior ambience

- seriously consider ensuring lane change assist is present. It's one of the more useful safety aids IMO

- comfort access is also something I find useful

- HUD works well for longer journeys, but is distracting on back roads (much of my daily mileage) and the dash structure is nicer without

- 4+1 seating should be std, even if the +1 seat is small

- passenger screen isn't essential, but my kids quite like it and it's handy if they want to select music etc while I keep the sat nav on in the middle

- I'm not using adaptive cruise as much as I thought... But would still want it on a car ?

- rear wheel steer similarly... I'm not sure how much it's really essential, but would want it.

- Bose stereo is good enough. Burmeister not essential IMO

- thermal/noise insulated glass looks milky when combined with privacy glass...not sure which I'd prioritise over which though. Summer may help tell, but don't expect no noise with it

If the GTS didn't exist, with prices as they are I think I'd target a TS tbh. Even if it meant waiting until the right car came along and then twisting the salesman's melons ?

Cars aren't shifting that quickly, and haven't been for a while. So look carefully and bargain hard. A secondary GTS I was watching, when I started to look seriously, started at a dealer at 117k last summer, and disappeared once the price dropped to 87k a couple of months ago....

Between the two original cars, the Turbo (non-S) has rear-axle steering and InnoDrive. The rear-axle steering, IMO, is a must-have. Surface coated brakes, InnoDrive, dash-cam pre-wire, Burmester audio - those are all very nice. In general, I'd rather have a better spec'd Turbo compared to a lesser spec'd Turbo S. The straight line perf difference is meaningless on regular roads.

That is a very in depth reply thank you so much for spending the time. It's not that often there is anyone in the back of the car and we also have other cars here. I prefer the look of the saloon over the ST.

I found the GTS very similar power to my current car although handling around corners was on a different level. The Turbo and TS just have that bit extra power more so when you put your foot down at higher speed. I like HUD display and this is must as every car in last 15 years has apart from a M3P. A lot of reviews online state the thermal glass was excellent - Not so sure if you didn't have you would miss it! Aberdeen also have several GTS Pre Reg for around 90k. Not sure why this dealer has so many Pre Reg? They better priced than all dealers close to me.

No worries.

I think a new GTS for 90k or less represents great value personally...especially if optioned up. Out of the three options, that would be my choice (biased I know!).

The Neptune Blue one's got a very nice spec...and the colour's much better in the metal than it often looks in photos. Something a bit different.

Turbo S has some standard stuff that are options on the Turbo… like rear steering (if I’m not mistaken).

Both have too much power so don't let that be a decider.

In the luxury/ performance EV world that’s not really true. ?
I mean a M3 Tesla performance runs nearly same time as Taycan Turbo. Just as one example

This may be US specific, but RAS is standard on the Turbo S, so not really an advantage for the turbo, unless this isn’t the case in the UK.

Didn't realise but it's std in the UK too.
