War and Peace has been written on this forum re charging - review that and also consult the My Porsche App owners manual.
Amen! So much knowledge and effort has gone into answering this question on prior threads, that will be a senseless, tragic waste if people only look at a new, redundant thread. Hence @daveo4EV ’s post above.

My thoughts only on the OP's specific questions of EVSE location. Mounting on the front wall will allow you to run the charging cable to any of your three cars as they change in the future. Similarly, mounting the EVSE along a side wall will allow you to run the charging cable to a vehicle parked outside your garage if you so choose.

Whatever you buy, get at least a 23 foot charging cable so you have options.

1. Should I get the Porsche Wall charger, a standard Level 2 charger, or just use the portable charger? If non Porsche level 2, any recommendations?
2. Any recommendations on the EV charging extension cable? Is having the extension cable going to significantly reduce the charging speed? I've seen multiple different amp ratings on the extension cords (32 up to 48), will that make a difference?
3. Based on some threads I've read, it looks like the consensus is to not charge above 80% on a regular basis, unless going on an extended trip, in order to extend the life of the battery. Do you agree? Also, should I charge nightly, or only as needed? Goal here is to extend the battery life as long as possible as I plan on keeping this car for 5+ years.
4. I've read a bit about CCS. Can you confirm that's only on high speed chargers and having that in-home is not an option? Also, would using CCS frequently decrease the life of the battery?
1. Don't even unwrap the Porsche charger. Get a Wallbox, Chargepoint, Tesla Universal or any other charger.
2. Don't use extension cables on EV chargers.
3. I charge to 85%. You can charge to that daily if you like.
4. You don't need a home CCS charger, as a good level 2 is enough to totally fill the battery overnight. Also it's super costly, and yes fast DC is harder on the battery than overnight AC.

I thought if you ever charge over 80% the PCM will freeze on the loading screen, the heater will then immediately fail, the glass roof will crack, and the car will catch fire... possibly while simultaneously failing to recharge the 12V battery.

All those behaviors are standard parts of the Taycan experience and unrelated to charge level. :)

Hi.
Guys I have a question about chargers/car charge:
I have 3 phase electricity in my house, BUT each phase is pretty weak, it has only 5kWt(CB are for 7kWt, but that kinda switching off limit) and of course it is also used by home staff.
Are there any charges that use 3 phase and is that possible to limit charge speed like 2kWt/phase, so to take only 6kWt from all phases?
Thanks

Hi everyone

Thank you all very much for your responses, they were very helpful. After some further inspection by my electrician we determined that 100 amps was more than I could handle so we went with a 50 amp breaker and a NEMA 14-50 wall plug. Decided to go with the plug rather than hardwire so I could easily change out the charger if needed and could also use the Porsche travel charger in a pinch.
I ended up going with the ChargePoint home flex level 2 charger with the NEMA 14-50 plug. I’m happy to say I’m getting 9 kw from that setup which charges me from 20-80% in just 3-4 hours. FYI that is much faster than I got from the Porsche charger that came with the car in that same outlet (5-6 kw) and infinitely faster than the Porsche charger in a 110 outlet (.9 kw)
