I got a new charging cable (replacement) from Porsche

Instead of % per hour, what was the charging rate it's showing you on car while charging? Also, does it show 100% or 50% on the PMC+?

It’s fluctuating all the time from 55% to 90%. Never hitting 100%

it may be adjusting it's charge rate based the thermal sensor - do you have a PMC+ or PMCC?

make sure your adjusted amps are 40 amps or make sure the 50% button is "off" on the PMC+…

if the charge rate is varying during the charge session that's a new behavior and would indicate the PMC+/PMCC is using data from the thermal sensor to adjust the charge rate to avoid high thermal temps…

if this is in fact what Porsche is doing they may have taken what was the worst EVSE on the North American market and made it worse…

since July of 2020 I have received absolutely NO DATA that indicates the PMC+/PMCC is a good EVSE…

my opinion is that owners would be way way way better off with a non-Porsche EVSE - there are many excellent choices for not a lot of money…

I got the cable too last week, didn't try charging with it yet.. the deal says it's only available to the PMC+and not to the PMCC, i have cars with both, and it was only available to one... how weird is that?!

What I am told is they are waiting for a software update for the PMCC.
