I have a Porche Charger which no longer charges my Taycan consistently. Any recommendations on a different brand wall charger?

Thanks!

Looks like you are new to the forum. Welcome. There are many existing threads on this topic. Not much new to be said.

Hi Mandy, there is ton of info on the forum about it, because the options are endless as alternatives to the Porsche Charger you are using, but if you want a simple answer. I use the #1 rated EV home charger from this article - Emporia, and I direct wired it to the electrical panel in the garage. Please post your questions, and we are happy to help you.

post #3 - https://www.taycanforum.com/forum/threads/replacement-charger-recommendation.20863/#post-319584

there are other choices - it's hard to go wrong - the only no-no is Porsche brand mobile EVSE's - their Wall Charger is ok - but has un-resolved/un-confirmed problem with non-Porsche EV's - as to how overblown or actual problems - it is unclear…

Thank you so much.
I can attest for the number 1 choice here. Has been solid! The handshake process with timer on the Taycan does require a different approach but easy. Hit me up if you get it.

@Mandyfreed if your are new to EVs, take time and read through the stickies in each section. They are jammed full of helpful information and tips that I found very useful in my research and early ownership.

Also, ignore anything you read about depreciation and just enjoy driving the car:like:

My choice as well. STOP using the Porsche charger. They are burning out boards and plugs. Mine was out ready to go when I replaced it with the Emporia.
