Nope as it is already as cheap as chips.

You should have it free for 3 years from new but you manually have to renew annually for which there is no charge within the period.

I don't know - it's just me, but I let mine expire last year. Have not missed it a bit. Agree with Adrian above - it is not expensive, but I just did not see the usefulness as something that I just had to have.

Extending it seemed to give me an extension on free charging. (Not an announced benefit from what I saw BUT my charging is still free at almost 4 years..oow wee)

You'll also miss out on Radio Plus, weather, risk radar, real-time traffic, etc.

Personally, more reasons to renew than not.

I use google maps through CarPlay… risk radar seems much better (at least where I live, plus it lets me know where the speed cameras are). Also got the realtime traffic on there. Radio Plus and Weather apps didn’t use… my music comes from iTunes (mostly from one of my favorite stations in the US).

Personally I must prefer to use the integrated tools to justify having the PCM in the first place.

Yes, I tried to live without it as well but didn't last long. I didn't think I'd not even be able to see and manage charging anymore! It's really a racket for a car in this price range.

I don’t drive much out of town, but I did the other day and within the IONITY app, you can plan your trip and send it to google maps. Worked pretty well and actually saved time… before, on my trips to the beach, one of my stops was usually at a Shell charger maxed at 100 Kw. But down the street there’s an IONITY charger at 350 Kw that I never knew about… the Porsche planner didn’t ever take me there.

Although I agree, that Porsche nickels and dimes us on these services with a car at this price point is ridiculous.

Mine expired and I coped ok without it but eventually purchased it again. I like being able to see if it’s locked and its location aswell as seeing what charge is in it when publicly charging at service stations.
