Same on all cars for 2024 onwards in the UK and EU AFAIA.Yep, same as the MY25 Taycan. Nanny state regulations.
When I get in the car I press the Diamond on the dash to silence the irritating speed limit warning, I then press the Diamond on the steering wheel to enable to electric sports sound (I heard that one way to freak out horses and cows is to creep up on them from behind in a silent EV. I live in the countryside so noise is highly desirable ?), I finally press and hold the button on the underside of the small stalk to disable lane keep assist.Same on all cars for 2024 onwards in the UK and EU AFAIA.
The other half's Volvo does it too. Much quieter and more genteel than the Taycan's.
The bigger irritant is lane keep assist... grunting and tugging the wheel. Possibly OK for motorway/fast a-roads, but borderline dangerous on country roads.
At some point I imagine there'll be programming services to allow these things to be turned off properly.
Wish I'd known that last week!... I finally press and hold the button on the underside of the small stalk to disable lane keep assist.
