I took delivery of my new 2025 base Taycan on 11 October. Beautiful car that IMO drives better than any ICE car I’ve driven before.
Next day the charging ports wouldn’t open all the way, and would get stuck, giving an error. I took it in to the agent and they said it was a software update issue that Germany had already advised them about. After the software update the car was back and working perfectly.
Exactly two weeks later I got an “Electrical System Fault” error and the car wouldn’t shift into drive. Back to the service center. It’s been 10 days now of testing and they’ve just come back to me saying that the HV onboard charging unit is giving a fault and needs to be replaced, but they don’t have the part in stock. This needs another 10 days in the best estimate.
Throughout this process there has been no communication from Porsche and I’m the one who constantly has to follow-up. I emailed Porsche Germany twice and my emails keep getting rerouted to Porsche Dubai who then just ignore me.
I had a Cayenne S before this and for 12 years never experienced anything like this.
Overall the experience has been very disappointing both in terms of the quality of car that was delivered and the after-sales service communication and responsiveness.
