I find this specific design choice very odd. They could have come up with some kind of GTS specific
Sport Design package to make it look a little different as in more aggressive.
Agreed. As an owner of a J1 GTS, the styling of the J1.2 is really underwhelming to me. I was hoping to have some more aggressive options (like some of those available on the Turbo), but the base styling of the GTS is very muted and there are no bodywork options at all, besides carbon. Disappointing

Makes it easier to live with our/my existing GTS. The 210-215 mile range (at 85%) of my current car is sufficient for 99.5% of my driving. Not worth upgrading for the new battery and .4 second faster 0-60 time. Back to configuring 911 Dakars and GT3s in my spare time.... ?

100%. The styling is a big step backwards IMHO.

The disappointing thing is that there is space in the lineup for them to put out an aggressive model. A GTS with this sort of default spec would have been ideal, but I'll just stick with mine now too.

they added turbo gt steering with the two-mode switches and paddles, then you lose the heating function.
except for the new increased performance comparing j1 and J1.2 modes, is this the only thing new on gts?

They need an S Rwd with 500+ Hp more than they needed a 4 sedan.

What's interesting is that in the press releases for the J1 GTS, Porsche quoted a 0-60 time of 3.5s with launch control. Real world tests also confirmed it. Now with the launch of the J1.2 facelift with a 0-60 time of 3.3s, it's only a difference of 0.2s.

Makes the J1 GTS looks like a bit of a bargain, and (subjectively) the better looking car.

They are simply sticking to form and mirroring the Panamera line up more or less.

Taycan 4 with the right spec is probably the smart person's choice especially if sub £100K.

If anything the RWD should be axed imho.

It’s their best selling model. And a very dynamic machine.

went on the configurator and mirrored the specs of my GTS, it landed at a whopping €206,544.
that's nearly 10k more expensive, not too disastrous however I dislike the look of it, it's simply awful!

with the dynamic package (active ride, rear steering, and performance tires), GT paddles, and soft close doors, it will be over €217,000. I consider the GTS as the last straw to pull the sales figures, Porsche should have thrown in the Turbo GT options, since almost no one is buying it, whoever wants to pay for it.

At least for all incoming to the U.S. for the new GTS model, a heated steering wheel is standard equipment, e.g. as shown on screen print below which is identical and comes on both the GTS sedan and the GTS Sport Turismo “standard equipment” spec sheets.

People are referring to the optional GT steering wheel with two mode switches from the Turbo GT. That doesn't come with heating.

Did they? I've only ever seen the time quoted as 3.7.

Anyone know if the J1 II GTS uses the Turbo's rear inverter like before?
EDIT: Incorrect info. I was confused by the motor vs. brake rotor.

I am sure you can dig through the press releases to find the motor sizes and inverter amps. However, from the press release the rear motor is from the 4S and not from the Turbo.

"The rear motor size is the same as the 4S, at 358 mm"

Thanks Sergey, you're quoting brake rotor diameter instead of motor information.
Looks like the non 360 degree confusitor pictures doesn't show the increased front rotor size yet.
