Hence my original suggestion way back in this this thread, delete ALL timers, delete all profiles except for General Profile, set General Profile to 85% minimum charge and optimizing charging set, then make sure it's enabled. But the OP seems insistent on using timer(s) for charging setting them to the same value as the profile.
Timers are perfectly fine as long as they don't conflict with the profile.
And that takes logic thinking in the way Porsche designed it.
Not everybody sees that.

The OP didn't want non-conflicting timers, hence my suggestion to not use them (or rather, I suggested using them for preconditioning only).

As for Porsche design, I don't thinks there was any. They took ISO15118 and exposed engineering concepts and API's in a UI. It would be like replacing a "Save File" button on a word processor UI with "Open File", then a dialog box allowing you to choose "Overwrite Write Mode", then another button for "Write", then another button for "Close" - since those are the actual API's that get called when you hit Save File button on UI. Can the engineering way make sense to people, sure, to engineering minded people, but not to the general public.

You might have noticed Porsche replaced this interface in 2025 Taycan and Macan EV's.

Yes - this is the answer in most cases. One of the problems has always been that Porsche never published that you needed Optimized charging set for the General Profile to stop at the so called minimum charge. I brought this up with my local Porsche centre and they agreed the only place it is shown is on the storage instructions document:

I think Porsche at the very least should buy each customer a copy of the ISO15118 standard (it costs $900 to buy a digital copy for yourself - Porsche could probably get a volume discount). It explains everything in great detail, including Plug-And-Charge, grid to vehicle communications, etc, etc.

Are you serious? ??
People just want to charge, not discover the whole Concept of Design.

Since I followed the advice in the video from 2020, I have also had my car behave just like I want it to do. And that is nearly 5 years now! Only once a big hiccup, when the High Voltage Battery Controller and battery failed.

The one thing we never got any answer from the OP was the designed power of the lamp post charger in London! I have absolutely no idea of how much that can provide in kW, but my guess is not so much. If that power is only like a household socket, it would not charge in the window the OP set at all.

If the all the advice given here has failed for OP then there has to be a bug in his software.
There is a screenshot elsewhere from a Ubitricity (Shell) lamppost which shows 5kW @49p off-peak (85p peak) which I believe is the max power available.

Neat idea but can you image lampposts and street bollards with wires dangling? For a company (Shell) that knows a lot about safety seems to have skipped the part on 'trip hazards'.

You can request one to be installed at a lamppost near you and if approved it will be installed.

Hmmm... if only Porsche knew that when they designed the pre 2025 Taycan. I am guessing they finally figured it out, hence the 2025 UI. Well, either that, or they just copied more popular EV UI's hoping to make more sales. ;)

It does about 4.5. And it did have time. It said complete then kept on going to 100%.

I think the explanation of why it’s important to set the timer to recurring made the most sense so I’ll try that next time and see what happens.

Another thing,
If you set up a profile within the car don't forget to check it!
Otherwise it'll charge to 100% straight away cuz there isn't any timer or profile active.
Simple but easy to forget and probably the solution to most "spooky" behavior of the charging proces...

It could work (cables retract when not charging):

That is what I meant by making sure it's enabled. But hey, I did read the ISO spec. :CWL:

A well designed app would make this clearer. Or simply tell you ‘your timer conflicts with the profile, do xyz to solve this’. A well designed app wouldn’t have this many people confused and trying to figure it out through trial and error

And this is how it is

At least it's Bring-Your-Own-Cable, so not there when the car is not there, and perhaps you could push the cable under the car when charging.

There's a big difference in what you mean and what people understand.
It's what this topic is all about: what Porsche means but people fail to understand. ?
A picture says more than a thousand words.
