I noticed few days ago that my car no longer lets me set the pre-climate temperature, like it used to. All I see is this screen (no slider for temperature, or buttons to enable individual zones):

Porsche Taycan Is your pre-climate via app still working as before? 1740225536310-sn

It gets worse. When I hit "Start pre-climate" button, it waits a while and then gives me this:
Porsche Taycan Is your pre-climate via app still working as before? 1740225741221-ks

The car is however talking to the app (through Porsche cloud), since it lets me flash lights, honk the horn, and even End Pre-climate if it's already on. I can start the climate control indirectly by setting a timer to a few minutes ahead too.

Is anyone else experiencing this (Porsche cloud software engineering strikes again), or is my Taycan broken? I tried rebooting the PCM, did not help. Porsche got rid of controls via web browser, so no more backup either.

Mine still works as it always has:
- more often than not fails to connect to car
- takes ages
- often sleeps through, if you set it as a timed preconditioning
- and, on a lucky day, works fine.

In your case - with other functions working ok, so you must have connectivity and a valid Porsche Connect service - I'd suggest logging out of both car and app, but beyond that it's probably off to the OPC (who will not know what to do as its software). You certainly have an unusual set of symptoms.

Mines fine other than the app thinks it's left hand drive (Android app)!

Which version of the app are you using? There was an update, at least for me, yesterday to v14.0.3. Maybe that has a bug fix that will address it?

That said, when this happened to me two weeks ago the issue was that my heater had failed. Again.

All looks good on my end. Android. App v14.25.05-pcna+108990.

I see seat on/off sliders. Temp bar. Start pre-climate button.

Sombody else made a post about same issue last week.

Likely some new app update caused some sort of glitch. I think the app sees your car as not having the 4 zone clima option.

Try cleaning the app cache, or a uninstall where you delete the app cache, and reinstall it.

My case, it’s been like that for almost three months, did log out, pcm reset, disconnected battery, reinstalled the app and who knows what else..nothing changed.
Went to Porsche for an appointment and added this problem to the service, they checked their server and said everything is ok on our side..after 3/4 days the temperature slide did appear again and now it’s working.

several people with the same problem but different methods to solve the problem!
my remote cabin climate activation stopped working around November and it was not a software problem but some kind of sensors failed. Porsche fixed it in January.

I have the exact same problem. I don't think it's just the pre-climate function that doesn't work, either: I also cannot set the option to auto-unlock the cable when charging completes from the charging function in the app.

The car is connected to Porsche's cloud, though: location and lock status are reported via the app when I refresh.

Something's broken here.

UPDATE: I tried clearing the app's cache, which didn't help, and then the app's storage, after which I logged in again, but still no joy on the pre-climate.

Wait, the auto unlock was a feature? Can you share some more info, can’t find it in my app

It's not in the app but was in the PCM. Never worked for me on 2 Taycans.
What is the rationale of this function, others can unplug you so they can use the charger?

It's a little hidden, but open the charging function in the app and then click the gear icon in the upper right. You should see two options, "Automatic AC plug unlocking" and "Uninstall plug & charge certificate". (I seem to be unable to post a screenshot here today for some reason).

I believe it only unlocks when you're AC charging; when it works, I can pull the charging cable out of the car after the charge is complete without hitting the unlock button, which is a small convenience that would be more important if someone else in my garage needed to use the charger. I've had it work, but after the big J1.2 software updates last fall, the car seems unable to remember the setting. It's settable from within the car too.

Thanks, I checked, don’t have the function at all. Too bad, maybe MY23 is too old for this already.

Climate pre-conditioning still works fine for me via iPhone and I don’t have a Connect Services subscription. Map updates and sending of nav routes to car from phone still work too?‍♂

This is just a guess, but the lack of sliders and switches on the apps that aren't working make me think that the app has become confused about how many zones the car has. But since deleting the app's storage didn't help, maybe the confusion is on the cloud side.
