My 2025 Tacan is in storage for at least 2 months. If I have someone turn on the car for me, will it charge the 12 volt battery. I’m not there to put on a trickle charger.
im worried the car will be dead when after A couple months of no use.

Information on this topic is quite confused. The 12V charges from the HV battery when the car is "on" (it doesn't need to move) and also on a small number of cycles which is unlikely to be enough for 2 months.

General view is that if you turn on conditioning (which runs for 60 minutes) remotely that will cause the battery to charge.

I'll be putting mine on a trickle charger when leaving it for a while, but that isn't an option for you.

However there are lots of issues with 12V batteries going flat even after a few days at the moment -- possibly a temporary problem but no clarity from Porsche - so there is no guarantee that you will return to a working car. If in a locked garage, just to be safe you might want to leave the frunk open so you can get to the 12V and jumpstart it, without needing to go through the emergency procedures used to open doors in the absence of power. Or just call Porsche Assist on return.

We go away for 2-3 weeks several times a year where the car sits in our garage in Southern California where the garage doesn’t get too cold (lowest 50F) but can get hot (90F to 100F) and we have never had any issues by following the dealer instructions to always keep the vehicle above 50% when in storage. Evidently the main HV battery will keep the 12V (actually 13.5V) battery charged when the main battery is above 50%.
We usually leave it at 60% or higher before we leave.
Maybe some of these owners have programmed their vehicle to be “ready to go” every morning to preheat or precool the cabin. That would explain why the 12v battery drains in a few days to a week or more. Just because you turn off the car doesn’t really mean it’s totally off.
Maybe Porsche needs to have two “off” modes. “Temporarily Off” and “Long Term Storage Off”.

I have also begun using my 120V Porsche charger to keep the vehicle charged to 80% to 85% just to be safe when we’re away but I’m also putting a wireless outlet I can turn on/off remotely from my phone if I need/want to cut off the power to the charger.
I have not noticed any battery drain when leaving the 120V charger plugged in to the vehicle without the power on to the charger or with the charger paused once it reaches the 85% set in the profile.
I have a 2021 so I assume there is something else going on with the vehicles when their 12V batteries die after a few days/weeks if they left the battery above 50%.
I’ve had my 2021 Taycan CPO for 18 months and the 12V battery has never dropped below 13.3V ever and usually is at 13.5V the majority of the time regardless if it sits for 3 weeks or is used every day.
Hope you don’t have any issues leaving it for 3 months. Good luck…

That's a pretty chunky rating for wireless outlet, at least it would be in Europe where you would be drawing upto 240x10A through a single phase, or do you turn down the connect charger to its minimum Amps just to "trickle charge" the main battery.

I only have 120v 10A charging in my detached garage so it’s easy to use with a remote activated outlet.
I guess in Europe you only have 240V but I would have to believe you can get a 15A remote outlet 240V version but you would have to reduce the power output on the Porsche charger to 50%.
I originally thought I would need to run my 120V charger at 5.5A when it was unclear to be safe to charge more than 12 hours at 120V/10A.
It works great for me. I charge at 1.2kwh charging rate which is very slow but all I need is to add 15% to 25% max per day to cover our driving needs since we don’t go far with it. We drive one of our other 3 ICE vehicles for longer distances.
