My 08/2020 Taycan is due its next service in August, essentially 4yr/40k, so enquired about cost. I was quoted a little over £600 and that included a discount on the brake fluid change. I was told the recall only meant flushing of the front lines, hence the discount at next service. I also asked about drainage hole inspections and he said it wasn’t time consuming at all so not really a factor.

This has been a super useful thread.

Just booked my GTS ST 2yr service with Colchester, £600 including blake fliud flush. The service advisor said the brake recall (which I have just had done by Hatfield) only bleeds the brakes a little so isn't a full flush by any means.

Saved £200+ against quotes from Hatfield and others.

I've been quoted £752 incl vat from Bristol for first service, they're refusing to discount the brake fluid bit currently. Called Newport who said "you'll get the same price from us, Bristol, Tewkesbury and Swindon" and then quoted £999 :)

I have emailed Colchester couple of times and as yet no reply. Disappointed.

That’s a lot more than I paid in Tewkesbury and they did discount for the brake fluid as well

without wading through 20 pages, where is the cheapest? it seems from a cursory glance at replies that porsche service centers are just sticking a finger in the air to get a random number to rinse the "rich" owners of taycans. i sure as hell won't be spending upwards of £500 to get a "service" unless there is actual work and parts involved and it is worthwhile. I'm not paying for them to glance at the car which they would likely do during a routine visit or a recall anyway.

If you say which part if the country you are in, I am sure someone will jump in and save you the 20 page read.

Out of interest, is there anything you ARE prepared to do in order to get your car serviced? ?

good point, I'm Peterborough based so nearest is Cambridge /Leicester/Nottingham. I've used the first two before for my 911 when I had it, and tbh I wasn't hugely happy with theit service costs either as they were in excess of 1200quid. but I guess they at least have to spend 50quid on some oil.

I wouldn't mind travelling extra distance if it is a decent saving tho, gives me an excuse to enjoy a drive

Remember to get them to detail exactly what is in the service they're offering. Mine for example sprung some 'recommended but may invalidate your warranty if you don't do them' extras after they'd got the car. Other dealers may include these in the price. So make sure you're comparing eggs with eggs.

thanks, out of interest what sort of stuff did they pull out of the woodwork? what should I be looking at that is "supposed to be done" during an EV service?

it's out of warranty now (other than batteries, obviously) so I guess technically I don't need it to be serviced by porsche anyway. but it's not like you can take it along to any other local garage to be looked at

To check (not actually clean) the drains in the battery and also an aircon service. Was 18 months ago, but about an extra ~£500 from memory.

Made the difference of about £200 cheaper than closest (distance) rival to £300 more...

Even the dealerships in same group seem to have different prices.

I’m pleased to see Colchester service department is living up to the excellent service I got recently in buying my car. They are now part of the US Lithia group so good to see they haven’t changed the culture

I can recommend Colchester.

Great service IME and one of the cheaper places compared to others across these pages.
