ok maybe I'm confused then. that means each person would need to download 16gb (2x their region updates for 8gb each).
also have you thought about the legal ramifications of providing/selling these update files? I get you're in Thailand and that might be harder for porsche to do anything about it (maybe?) but do you want it to be linked to your business who will be possibly liable if they did so anything?

other file options could be to host on the likes of Aws or azure or cloudfront and would probably work out to cost about £1 for each person (assuming 16gb). again if you want some help on this just shout

Yes 2x their region updates for 8gb which works out to 16GB per car.

I ain’t worried about Porsche.

Repairing cars, and my garage as a whole is just actually a hobby to me. Cuz I love cars particularly Porsche of course.

But in reality I’m in the software side of things, been all my life. And before I opened my garage and all of that I was actually in the Apple world.

If we update the PCM on J1 and take our car to service, would that raise flags with the dealer that we have software running that shouldn't be? Any potential warranty issdues with this?

Asking for a friend.

Would it be technically possible to create a read out that shows bad cells (yellow/red)
Bizarre it was possible all this time but Porsche just decided nobody gets the latests software. What the actual fuck is this. We bought 100K + cars but get Dacia-like aftercare
Apparently it takes many hours to have it installed and Porsche Centers seem to have decided not to offer this service to J1.1 owners. Very sad indeed.
Wondering if anyone on the forum has a J1.1 with this latest software pack??

I cannot answer this nor be responsible for it.

There isn’t any specific orders from Porsche HQ to go around checking PCM versions to see if someone upgraded it at home and thus void their warranty.

BUT, the dealer can do whatever they want. Dealer can refuse warranty job at anytime they want. If you sued them they would have to prove that the modification you did caused whichever problem they are refusing to cover. But that already means going to court and yeah a massive headache.

So for cars with active warranty, yeah…

It already shows bad cells in yellow and red.

In batteries that have bad cells that is. Many batteries are healthy and thus show full green…

Would be weird if that is the case. It is their software actually but they choose not to install it as it takes too much time per car. Likely PC does not get paid for that by PAG, unless it is recall work.

Okay.... this weekend there's gonna be an update with the paid features (AI Diagnosis & Balance Status overtime tracking & SoH over time tracking).... There will also be the most wanted one. PCM updates to newest version.

However it's not as simple as it sounds that's why it's taking so long.

First of all. For each release for example 4360, there are 4 releases

MP3_ER_POG46_K4360 (FOR EUROPEAN TAYCAN)
MP3_US_POG46_K4360 (FOR AMERICAN TAYCAN)
MP3_AS_POG46_K4360 (FOR ASIAN TAYCAN)
MP3_CN_POG46_K4360 (FOR CHINESE TAYCAN)

So of course I need to ensure all the regions are available to be downloaded. As you cannot install the American update on European PCM. This 4 regions for version 4360 alone is 32GB of data BTW!

Then comes the second problem...

The earlier possible version from which you can update to 4360 is 39XX.

I believe most of you guys are on 3860..... Not 39 yet...

So you need to update first to version 4002 and then 4360 which is the latest... Two updates

I will give you guys the pack of the 2 at the same price as a single update. But I need a bit of time to prepare everything because.....

MP3_ER_POG46_K4002 (FOR EUROPEAN TAYCAN)
MP3_US_POG46_K4002 (FOR AMERICAN TAYCAN)
MP3_AS_POG46_K4002 (FOR ASIAN TAYCAN)
MP3_CN_POG46_K4002 (FOR CHINESE TAYCAN)

Another 32GB + 32GB from before = 64GB of data that I need to handle....
Would be very useful if you do a video with the update procedure; or at the very least, a list/procedure of steps of: MUST DO, and definitely don't do points :))

Battery health check done (and review left).

Very easy.

Pleased with the results - 0.013V variance across all modules. (Not sure why but was expecting some amber or even red).

58% SoC when tested. Temps here warm (28degC or so).

Plus some shots of the new interface :)

Is it ever possible to downgrade PCM software (to keep backups and unwind upgrades?).

Not 2026 tho!
Which will be different operating system, no? Same as Macan EV.

Do you know how different the hardware between a 2025 taycan and a 2025 MACAN EV is? Would it ever be feasible to put MACAN EV hardware/pcm in a taycan?

Thanks for providing this software! Since you also want feedback, on the fullscreen view all the modules seem to be at 25 degrees C, although on the main view they show as 14-16 degrees.

Dealers don't seem to like doing software updates, they probably don't get compensated enough by Porsche HQ to perform them.

Last time my car was in for a software update (and some other recalls), I thought I'd bring my car in in the morning and pick it back up in the evening, only needing a courtesy car for a day ... they were like nope, we've booked it for 3 days because with software updates its hard to tell how long they'll take to complete or how many attempts we need to do ... and this wasn't even the big uPdate.
