  1. Sometimes when approaching the car, the door handles open up, anticipating my arrival...then the second I go to reach for the handle they snap shut with "chirp chirp!" Tugging on the handle won't open it and I have to get out my stupid keyfob - like an animal - and unlock it. I genuinely feel the car is doing it on purpose and laughing at me.
You're too slow to get to the car. This is a Porsche, it expects its drivers to move fast ;)
One possible workaround instead of fishing out the fob, touch the back door handle (quicker than fishing out the fob from the pocket). I use that whenever the front handle wigs out refusing to lock or unlock. Between the two handles, one of them always works.

If you have it enabled, seat should move on its own (and steering wheel, if you have powered steering column, which many cars since COVID did not). However, for them to move for egress, you have to shut the car off with the button before you attempt to exit, otherwise if you just open the door and exit, they will stay in place until you lock the car (and it shuts off) and they you unlock it and open the door. It's a poor design choice, I know, especially that they tested Model S when building Mission E, so they could have just copied "move seat back when door opens and seat belt unbuckled" - simple, functional, and intuitive.
Hm. I do have the power steering column. Pretty sure powering off the car moves the seat but not the steering.

I'll check again to be sure, being mindful of order-of-operations:
- Power off car
- Unbuckle
- Open door

Did not work. No matter what order I do things, the seat moves and the wheel does not. I have to move it myself using the button on the steering column or my memorized seat setting.

Like an animal.

I mean, what do you want for 150K?

This might be a stupid suggestion, but you never know: have you tried disabling the option for moving the seat & steering wheel on power up and then re-enabling it? (I can't remember what that option is called in the PCM, but I'm pretty sure it's there).

I wonder if there some undocumented way to make it learn the exit position. I do remember on my way from the dealer I once reclined my seat to nearly horizontal position during charging. Then left the car to use the facilities. For the next few times I got out of the car, the car kept reclining the seat when I opened the door (I never shut the car off before exiting since it shut itself off whenever I locked the car after exit - it was the first few days after I picked it up, while traveling across the country). unfortunately I was road tripping long distance in a brand new car, so didn't spend much time debugging what caused it, but somehow eventually the car stopped doing it.

Then again, Porsche comfort memory feature is flaky like most of their software. About once every couple of weeks for example the mirrors somehow get stuck in wrong positions, I bring them back with one of the memory buttons (not only that, I noticed I have to hit two different buttons sometimes for mirrors to finally adjust to where I set them). There is only one driver profile in my Taycan, nobody else drives it.

Minor Hate - Daily annoyances that make me unhappy
  1. Ingress and egress. I despise getting in and out of this car, something that has only worsened over time. Exacerbating the problem, I have to manually move the wheel forward and seat back when I get out, and reverse when I get in. (I've programmed seat memory buttons 2 and 3 for this purpose.). So annoying.
  2. The PCM. I realized the other day I haven't had radio issues in a while...and I also realized it's because I've given up on playing music or podcasts in the PCM, and I just use Carplay. The only thing I use the PCM for is the map, which works reasonably well, except....
    1. Why does the map warn me about wrong-way driving that is happening miles and miles away?
    2. Why does the map tell me alternate routes are available, without presenting a way to select one?
    3. Why does the map think every single place in the world is a "restricted access route?"
    4. Why is sending a destination from the phone such a hit-or-miss proposition?
Super Hate - Issues that make me want to send it directly to the crusher
  1. When I do the "Taycan Squeeze" to get in, and my key (in pocket) contacts the steering wheel, opening the frunk. This makes me so angry and it happens multiple times per week. My mother-in-law's Hyundai has a phone key FFS, why do I still need this stupid fob??
  2. Sometimes when approaching the car, the door handles open up, anticipating my arrival...then the second I go to reach for the handle they snap shut with "chirp chirp!" Have you ever considered an anger management course? ?

I'd pay to see Jack Nicholson offering anger management classes to @DerekS. Starting scene, Jack Nicholson as the Porsche Experience trainer taking Derek in his red Taycan GTS around the PECLA track. ;)

Comfort access for me is even worse, because I have a lot of height in my legs, and the seat is almost all the way back. If the "comfort access" moves the seat even more back then I can't even get out - thus I have that off.

Also what helps with the ingress and egress is the cross turismo with it's higher ride height.
And on the J1.2 the active ride really helps too.

I don't have any issues whatsoever with the door handles though. They work exactly as needed, I've also never opened the trunk and I always keep the key in my pocket.
For the door handles - consider maybe changing the key battery.

Changed key fob batteries. Porsche reproduced my issues after one of the techs spent 2-3hrs playing with them, so they swapped all 4 the handles. Then I kept having issues, so they swapped just the driver's door one. Comfort access still glitches out, They offered another swap, I declined, just using the back door handle whenever the front one refuses to operate as designed. Possibly some signal integrity issue in the door electronics, but Porsche has no service bulletins to diagnose such problems.

All of your items Derek and add a couple more, at least 75% of the time I input my PIN it fails to go through and I have to enter it a second time. Also having 2 phones connected at the same time seems to confuse Android Auto and it drops the connection to my phone. I have talked with the dealership about these things but as you stated this is all software related and there isn't anything they can do.

There's one weird issue I do have.
Most of the time when I enter the car and press the brake the ignition switches on. I'd say 8/10 times it's like that.

Other times I have to manually press the power button. I have no idea why. Dash just does not turn on for some reason.

On our Cupra Born (MEB) this functionality works perfectly every time. Have never needed to use the power button manually ever.

All your problems will be solved with AI....soon.
I am looking forward to my Taycan being my friend, sort of like a horse.
100 years ago you equestrian transportation was a friend.
You could feed it an apple and give it a kiss and it would love you back.
Even today that is the case.....I had an executive assistant who divorced her husband and got a horse.
