Unfortunately it doesn't work. I want to charge only between 08:00-17:00 and only untill a max target of 85%. These are the settings I used, based on yours. At 20:42 it's still charging

The only way it works is this:

This method charges above only between 08:00-17:00 and only until 85%. It worked ok for the past weeks, however, as mentioned, last night it started acting weird: started charging at random times, between 05:15-07:20, then 07:25-07:35, then 07:50-+onwards

I wondering if you intend to charge during the day from 8am to 17:00 or do you want to charge overnight from 17:00 to 8am before you leave for work.
I charge from 9pm to 4pm the next day which is my lowest rate period since my office is in my home. I avoid charging between 4pm & 9pm(21:00).

That’s what I thought too but I was told to enter the stop charging % for when I want it to stop.
I know, I've heard the same, but I also want a preferred charging time. Combining those two breaks every other logic

I want to charge during the day from 08:00 to 17:00 (I have solar panels and want to charge for free during the day when it's sunny)
I also have a backup 15A/125V mechanical timer attached to my 120V Porsche charger which will only allow power to the charger in my garage from 9pm to 4pm so there is no way it can ever charge during the higher rate periods.
You can use a mechanical timer for 120V charging since the max current will be 10A on a timer rated for 15A.
I’ve been doing this for over a year now with no issues.
I already have a smart circuit breaker with timer and phone control, however I am not sure it's safe to forcefully interrupt the charging process at 17:00 by cutting the power to the charger. I'm afraid on the long term it may damage something in the car's mechanics. You said you're doing this for over an year? Did it forcefully stop the charging process multiple times? No errors on the car?

Anyways, seems there's no simple solution for this situation yet only from the Porsche app (preferred charging time + charge target). The one I've been using is the closest I get

No problems but remember I’m only using the Porsche 125V charger. The steady state current is only 10A but there is no issue with cutting off the power. I doubt there would be any issue at 220V either because it is no different than a power outage.
When the power to the charger turns off the car & the app simply says charging error. When it reaches the set time to turn off then it says charging paused. When it reaches the charging percentage it says charging complete.
Good luck figuring it out.

Charging Profile is your minimum % setting. Mine has always been set to 25%.

That has not been the way my dealer explained it to me initially.
The dealer has us set this minimum % at 80 or 85% as well as the timers & profiles to the same 80-85% along with a profile for 100% which we can activate before we go on a long trip so it charges to the highest range possible.
We’ve been doing this for almost two years now with no issues but it is clear that not even the dealers really know exactly how the profiles, timers and schedules interact with each other.
The only thing they universally know is that if you’re plugged in and it’s not charging then tapping on “direct charging” overrides all timers, profiles & schedules and only stops once it hits 100%. This much I have confirmed…
I’m just happy it charges when I expect to charge, it stops charging when I expect it to charge and that my Taycan never just charges to 100% randomly or blows up unexpectedly in my garage.
So far it’s working for me the way they’ve instructed me to set it up so I don’t ask any more questions…
I didn’t expect it to be as complicated as Porsche made it but I guess for such an expensive gorgeous car should I expect anything less?

- unless you have no timer set, in which case it's the MAXIMUM.
Timers under timer tab or time under each profile where you set a start & stop time? I wasn’t sure and my dealer told me to set both…

I don't bother with start & stop times - my EVSE handles that.

I did experience it always charging to 100% until I set the timers…
Different people seem to have different experiences. I have a single profile, set to 75%, optimised charging and no timer:

I rely on the EVSE for timing, set by Octopus. The car never charges beyond the % set here.
