New Battery monitoring software update?

There's been 13 more pages since my last post, apologies for not reading through all of them. but just to verify, the official high voltage battery update FIX hasn't been released yet correct? they're still working on it?

It's not a fix; it's software to monitor the battery status/health. Latest from Porsche is "late Q3" - i.e. September.

This is a best-case guess on Porsche's part. Given their history of missing deadlines on this I don't believe we'll see anything in Q3 and possibly 2025.

Saw this popped up today on the way home from the beach. I thought we were supposed to take the car in for them to install this high voltage battery monitor update. Anywho, I hit yes when I got home and it was done.

^ This is very interesting since there has been many conflicting reports about the rollout.

One report said, the software will not be available until end of year.
My dealer said some customers have received the letter and have been updated by the dealer.

I said, what about me with ARB7? They said that I need to receive the letter first. I checked my recall online to see if it has changed to "remedy available" and it has not.

I think OTA update makes sense since the time to install by dealer for all will be extensive.

No I do not. Not sure if this helps but with or without Porsche connect, you need to give consent in the Porsche app under privacy settings in order for them to receive diagnostic data from your car. I don't know if this is a requirement or not in order to receive the update. But Porsche has the tendency to roll out updates progressively to owners as opposed to all at once.

What year is your Taycan?

My understanding is that 2019 cars do not support OTA updates.
At least in the UK, there is a 10 year basic Connect function to the car.
The optional Connect app subscription is separate.

Mine is a MY19; shipped early 2020.

It has definitely got some OTA updates over the years, same as any other j1.1

This was a quote to me by dealer staff when discussing how the BMS update would be installed. It seems there’s been no comms from Porsche AG, dealers and importers are in the dark.

Not sure if I want to be in the 1st wave of a Porsche software roll-out or not! Would love the fix, however (or a new battery preferably).

Mine going in for its 60 day check up next week. Be nice if it was the last one, but suspect the dealer won’t know what I’m on about if I ask about this software release. They’re part of Porsche as well, but generally seem pretty disinterested in anything Taycan related.

My dealer (Porsche Reading) seemed to know all about it and said it was applied to my car when it went in for ARB6 on June 22nd. Apart from the orange triangle disappearping from the app I don’t see anything to confirm and will be looking at the app in 60 days hoping the ARB6 orange triangle doesn’t show up ?
