Plug and charge now working at Tesla Supercharger

After testing the Tesla Supercharger with my new adapter in September, I hadn't used a Supercharger since. But, today I was on the road for a short trip and plugged in, expecting to click into the Tesla app to choose the charging station etc, it started charging on its own! All of the messages/alerts from the charging session were coming from the Porsche app, NOT Tesla. Afterwards, the history log of the session was in the Porsche app, with no record of it in the Tesla app.

My interest was in plug-and-charge which I didn't realize was available at Tesla Superchargers yet.

no go for me here in MA, USA. had to use the tesla app.

I don't know...it was the one in the pic. 150kW max.

There's currently only one functional V4 Supercharger in the USA, and it's in CA, and isn't open to non-Teslas (yet)

Which specific Supercharger location was this? Seems to have been in Oregon based on your profile and the bus in the pic, but please confirm...

Really? Just one? I thought I found one in Los Osos, California ... it had a small visual monitor and a longer charging cord. I assume that's not the location you're thinking of?

Sorry - I was thinking about 500KW V4 sites (which is a full/actual V4 site), of which there is indeed only one currently functioning in the US.

It depends on the definition of “V4”. Tesla calls anything with the newer post/pedestal “V4” in the map, but some commentators refuse to go along with Tesla’s (re-)naming if it doesn’t have a 1000V cabinet backing it, which was Tesla’s original definition of the term. There are a lot of “V4” pedestals that run 500V, and so far only one backed by a higher-voltage cabinet.

It's in Troutdale Oregon, just off I84. There are EA chargers in the same lot labeled "Columbia Gorge Outlets".
