Only one? Just to comply in principal?
Shows what lip service Porsche pays to the owners
It's the dealerships who have to pay for this I believe and so that changes the perspective.

Typically other vehicles are parked in the charging bays which used to hack me off.

Yes I fully agree with you that there mainly are ICEvehicles parked in these spots. In my case the dealership so many second hand and new vehicles in their lot (quite large) and limited visitor spaces. And of course the visitor spaces are ¨the ones where the chargers are situated.

On top of that you have to go into the dealer and ask them to please activate the charger.

An absolute S**tshow

That is probably out of line with their agreement with Porsche. Suggest you get the manager to change that policy.

They do have other chargers eg 22kW, which are for use by them. But the main DC chargers are supposed to be public.

They do have some AC chargers there as well. And they have their own 50kW charger for the service guys.

But the mainDC chargers they are very sensitive about. Their chargers are listed at times, but not all times in the list of Porsche chargers. They are Porsche branded though.

A couple of years ago I was told by Tewksbury that they had been told they had to site chargers outside of the dealers premises to be available 24/7 (this was in response to my comment about how dumb it was to only have these chargers available in business hours. A year or so later I turn up in the Skoda to be told I couldn't charge as the chargers were for Porsche only (they were unused at the time). The lights button on the Skoda is the same as the Macan, but I didn't want to press the point that they were all part of the same happy VAG family.

I've been told (not looked into the specific detail) by the CEO of a UK CPO that there is a law that dictates chargers (could be new sites, again not aware of the specifics) have to be available to the public 24/7. Possibly this move is in response to that.

It is disturbing now how Porsche think they are more exclusive than others.

I have the same, they re inside the gates (NO PLANS to site outside, No Sir!!!!) . And you have to go in and beg them to turn them on. What a S***show!

Bristol OPC are just finishing building a brand new showroom (they flattened the old one); so it’ll be interesting to see where they place their DCFC. Although previously there was no gate, so technically they were accessible before anyway (no idea if they turned them off out of hours though).

I received a newsletter from them back in September with this info:
Porsche Taycan OPCs to put chargers outside the gates 1762870964555-hm

I guess this will coincide with the new showroom opening.
