Well after taking longer to power up the laptop and clear faults than to change the module, my MapEV box is fitted. Was so easy.
And then took it to work today......So pulled out and thought i'd give it a quick boot away from the house, and was initially a bit disappointed with the increase and then realised that the front wheels were spinning and pulling the power back.
a few miles down the road, opened it up from 40mph, and OMG, then doing 3 figures!
I would say it doesnt "seem" to hit much harder than before, probably because its smoother than before, it changes gear later and smoother, but the speedo is a massive indicator of how much faster it is. I've not had change to time it or anything yet, but i can say accelerating from following a HGV at 56mph and doing well in excess of 3 figures by the time i've overtook it, was quite mindblowing.

Does anyone with a Taycan GTS (2021–2024) running the MapEV tune have real measured 0-100 km/h and 0-200 km/h times?

I’ve seen MapEV mention ~2.8 s 0-100, but haven’t found confirmed user data.
Thanks in advance for any numbers you can share!

I think 2.8 is a little too low, but around 3s is realistic.

100-200 we have lots of on our Instagram:

For example this one:

Depends if it's a sedan or wagon and how much equipment there is on it - we've seen as low as 6.3s.

Some good news for J1.2 - I managed to patch some stuff and make the Push to Pass / Attack mode work and give the full launch torque even when it is engaged.

With the approach of the J1.1 the result was that the car had less power and torque with Push to Pass active, so I disabled the button, but it can be enabled now :)

So Attack Mode can be used on an upgraded ASG now?

How can this be patched on existing ASGs from MapEV?

You can flash it locally with ENET cable :)
I need a little time to port it to all the files though.

So if I’m understanding this right, Attack mode with have the full horse power and torque you get in the first two seconds of launch mode?

How much hp torque when not in attack mode?

Also, can we get more than 10 seconds of Attack Mode? Would the display show the extra time? E.g. 20 or 30 seconds (whatever it’s set to?)

It is much longer than 2 seconds on J1.2.

The same as launch. The problem was less power with p2p engaged.

I have not tested it, but I'd think so.

I read through the whole thread and looked through the instagram and sorry if I missed it, but-

Are there any 0-60 and 1/4 mile times before/after for the J1.1 4S PB+?

I see some 100-200, just not the above stats.

Lots of them on our instagram, but it really depends on the spec - wheel size, body shape, which all affect the weight of the car.

But for example on one car the quarter mile went from 11.91 stock to 11.21:

Another one went from 11.97 to 11.34:

The reason nobody measures 0-60 or 0-100 km/h on faster cars is because there is too much variance. 100-200km/h can be repeated much better. That doesn't mean the car isn't faster after the tune.

That said - are you planning to bring your car dragracing? Because these 0-60 and 1/4 numbers are completely useless in the real world, as all the stock numbers are done with launch control.
If you don't use launch control the car is almost a second slower with the stock tune, so closer to 13 seconds and after the tune it's low 11's. Which is expected as it goes from 489 PS to 730 PS. A power increase of 49%.

How often do you use launch control in real world driving? When you need to go for a gap, do you stop the car first, engage launch, launch it and then try to find the gap? Of course not... Hence the 100-200 from a roll shows the difference the best.

Short answer- actually yes. Almost every car I’ve owned has been down the local 1/4 mile track. So I kinda grew up looking at those numbers and they make sense to me. And there’s a little bit of bragging rights if you can make it to a 10 second 1/4 mile. 😉

I also drive almost exclusively in the city (30-45 mph speed limits), so low end punch matters much more than highway passing speeds to me.

I’m honestly an amateur when it comes to instagram. I can only seem to see the first 20 or so pictures on your page and they all were 100-200 comparisons. I’ll have to have my wife show me how to dig deeper.

Ok, I figured out the instagram. Each one post has a bunch below it and you can scroll through pictures. Found exactly what I was looking for- J1.1 4S PB+ with a 10 second 1/4 mile-

I am not sure that one is timed right. I mean it shows valid on the dragy but we've never had any other 4s hit 10 seconds.

BTW keep in mind if you are driving 30-45 in the city then consider stock quartermile to be over 12 seconds as you can't use launch control.

Played a little more with the boost (push to pass) settings in the J1.2 ASG.

Some new tidbits of information:
The boost on everything except Turbo GT lasts for 10 seconds and then it is on cooldown for 10 seconds.
In the Turbo GT it lasts for 10 seconds and the cooldown is 4 seconds.

Increasing the boost duration in the ASG actually works, but it is not reflected on the dash. I made the boost last 20 seconds, and I can see it fully active in the ASG, but the dash still shows a 10 second countdown.
This probably means that the dash just has a hardcoded animation that it plays whenever the boost status flips from off to on, hence increasing the boost duration is probably not a great idea, as it will be very confusing.

What is possible to do is to make the boost "recharge rate" a huge value, so you can just trigger it every 10 seconds. Tested it and it works just fine - boost counts down and you can just press it again without any delay.
