Yes, realise the times are departure/be ready times. Couple of occasions I’ve thought something might be up with the battery but seems it was long lead times on pre heating.

When you go on to 'battery' on armrest console, underneath the large battery showing percentage charge, it has a button that says pre-heat and another next to it that says direct charge. This pre-heat button needs to be turned on otherwise the timers will not work. This is not for pre-heating the battery, but the car.
The Precool/heat button conditions the cabin and isn't required for timers to work, check the owner's manual.

I have my timer set to every morning at 7am, however, if this button is not pressed on the console the preconditioning does not happen

That’s interesting, thanks. My car starts preconditioning when I unlock it from the fob (regardless of timers being set), I’d assumed that because it did that, I had all the necessary ‘car-side’ settings enabled.

I’ll have to go check what’s enabled now.

So the clue is that timers relate to departure time and be ready by that time.

Better to use on demand say 10 mins you plan to leave.

Anyone's guess as to why Porsche didn't provide and option to specify a duration.
My Range Rover takes 30mins to pre-heat the cabin using the little diesel heater so I’m not *that* surprised by the 60mins the Taycan seems to want

The Taycan does not need 60 mins to preheat. It is much faster. Even in minus 20C in Norway it was quite toasty inside after 30 minutes plus all ice on windows cleared.

Porsche have decided to leave it running for 60 mins, but it does not require so long time at all.

It should look like this.
I don't know why yours says "tomorrow" but mine says tuesday ("di" in my language), which is tomorrow.

With this setting my car is preheated tomorrow but only tomorrow.
If I want more days I just select the days I want.

PS In the app it may look like the car isn't preheating but that's just the status in the app, not necessarily the status of the car itself.
I've had that one time, in the app it said it's not preheating (I didn't bother to manually preheating) but when I came to the car it was indeed preheating....

I disabled that feature on unlock as it became annoying and used up energy unnecessarily.

Yes I keep meaning to disable it...

Interesting. Do you have the 'preconditioning' option enabled in the battery screen as suggested above by EVFan?

Thanks for the suggestion. I've just had a look in my app and I can get the day names, like in your screenshot, if I enable 'Repeat' (the top option, 'Herhaling' in Dutch it seems, you learn something every day!)

I think I have 2 things to try:
1. Check the preconditioning option in the car's centre console 'battery' screen as suggested by @EVFan
2. Try the 'repeat' / herhaling option as suggested by @SergeyIndy and @Dee

Logically, I don't see why I should have to configure them as repeat timers, and @Leccy61 seems to have it working as I want it to, but as I am rapidly learning; since when is anything logical with these cars? :)

You do not need repeat timers as mentioned in several posts above (or in the Owner's Manual).

If you press the preheat button on the lower panel in the car it will be of no surprise that preheat will start there and then. Again this is not required but sometimes you may wish to use this option when in the car.

Perhaps toggling it on / off may reset something which has got muddled.

You've not yet confirmed (I think) that your timer settings are visible in the PCM when you send them - this is obviously a critical part of the process.

Correct.
But I use them every day of the week, except weekends.
If I deselect "repeat" the next day is called "tomorrow", instead of "tuesday", lol.
Didn't notice that before.
Still learning here, after 5 years and 8 months! 👍🏻
