Or maybe Porsche just never built the Taycan to actually go to the track? If only a small percentage of customers track their cars, Porsche bean counters may have concluded it makes financial sense to just drop/ignore those customers' needs. I've seen this with some tools companies, which make tools intended to look pretty on a home garage bench, able to be used for a few minutes a couple of times a year, but fall apart should you start using them professionally. Log time ago I remember returning a craftsman wrench multiple times because it just kept on breaking, until the sales guy explained to me if I'm actually going to use the wrench I should just buy the professional tool (which costed more, but didn't break). Similar story with a cordless drill.They must have seriously punished the hell out of it to cook them like that in around 85-90 miles.
