Not having proper navigation is enough to get us free Porsche Connect.

Is it? The Charge Planner that crashes is the one on board, not in the app. Truth be told, I have not been successful with the planner in the app. I might spend time elaborating stops but when I send my route to the vehicle, nothing beyond the destination appears to arrive. The on-board nav always starts from scratch. Have you made other experiences? (Perhaps I am doing something wrong.)
They are sold as a package, porsche's own website makes no distinction.

Hadn’t thought of that, thought charge planning wouldn't be activated in the car without Porsche Connect and haven’t tried it as I’ve always used the app and then send to car. Either way I’m still going for complimentary Porsche Connect, always resented how much it costs and not being very good.

Anyway, fired off the emails as per the @Jasper4S suggestion, emailed smartmobility.co.uk but unfortunately don’t think I can do the @chun European saftety commission suggestion as I’m not a citizen of the EU 😭

Is that true? I see zero connection. Not going one way or the other. But since you mention it, some of my feature requests could very usefully be implemented via the app pushing out to the car.

The fact that this is still an issue is insane. I have decided to switch to another EV. It is hard to justify having a Porsche EV with no functioning navigation planner or preconditioning when there are so many better (and way cheaper) options. It is just not acceptable. What a way to screw over your customers. Shame on you, Porsche! I will miss the car as it is so much fun to drive but it is an EV and I do need and expect basic EV functionality when road tripping.

Something that I don't understand. Porsche gives you all the flexibility you want about the driving experience, but somehow treats the planning and charging differently.

Why is there no manual preconditionning? Sure, keep PIRM do it if you're planning a route through that, but give the customer the ability to do it manually at their leisure. This is the most infuriating thing about the Taycan. Call it workaround if you want, but that would solve 99% of the issue, coupled with the use of Waze of Google Mapst through Android Auto/CarPlay.

Btw, the GPS is still behaving after the update I got last week and 500 km added to the odometer. Although, not everything works. For instance today, I couldn't search of address using Google. The "G" icon wasn't there in the search and the standard search is so useless....

I don’t know tbh, I suppose charge planning could be done in the PCM but they make you have Porsche Connect to be able to do it in the mobile app too 🤷‍♂️

Totally agree. The navigation and the lack of manual preconditioning is just a complete joke on a premium EV and even more that Porsche has not fixed that in all these years. I'm still trying to find workarounds to make the preconditioning work as I want it to but it's difficult. Hey Porsche, if you read this, fix manual activation of preconditioning. It's not rocket science.

My Taycan has now had the "Central computer" replaced (i assume this refers to PCM) This weekend i have driven the car approx 14 hours (2 x 5 hour stints, with charging stops of course) I can report that the Sat Nav did not freeze or reset itself once. I think they've done it. I think it's fixed!

I'm still very disappointed with how long battery preconditioning can take, two of my charging stops were within 30 mins of setting off and battery temps only rose to low 20's. Charging was "slow"

What procedure do others use to try and ensure the best possible charging experience? I've reverted to just setting my final destination as the charging stop i want (prioritising Ionity) assuming that this method should surely inform the car that we are driving to a charging location so therefore preheat the damn battery!!!

Also had the 12v battery sensor replaced. This has also fixed the 12v battery issue that killed the car the previous weekend.
