Man, loved my car since the day I got it.

Money aside I don’t think I’m ready to say goodbye yet (left or right will loose a lot of money in value)

I honestly didn’t even felt much in my car when I got hit (my car was at a stop. But also maybe because the car is very heavy?) the other cars air bag didn’t deploy and he was more than fine(walked straight down the car and started yelling at me nonstop for about 20mins. once the police showed up he switched 180 in a second and pretended like he was injured and was sick even asked for an ambulance, well this is a whole other story)

Only front dash. So it didn’t get the crash on camera but it did get him yelling and jumping at me for as long as it went on so hopefully that caps his “injury” claim somewhere but based on what I’ve heard (actually some true cases) there’s a pipeline of lawyers that helps you fake it and can almost guaranteed a 5 digit BI settlement nowadays.

Last week, I fared better... same spot, but the car that hit me at high speed was a Lancia Y... after the collision, it reared up and rolled over several times.
The Taycan remained intact, I just need to replace a few components. It's remarkable how it reacted to the impact...

First, let me say that I’m so happy no one was hurt in either of these accidents, and it’s exciting to learn how well the Taycan protected its passengers.

Back in March 2021 I had left front end damage that was quite a bit more significant on my 2020 4s, but that included the hood and some twisting to the frame. Someone turned in front of me and pushed me to the curb. The car ended up being totaled.

While there was no question of who was at fault (the woman who hit me) I’ve become much more conservative, and now have front and rear dash cams in both my 2020 4s and my wife’s Lexus RX 450h. I made sure to turn measurements of speed off, but I left the recording of the audio on so that if anybody approaches the car and talks to me, it’ll all be recorded. It has given me peace of mind to know that if and when the same scenario happens again, I’m covered, and the cost was very reasonable.

damn, happy that I don't live in the US just for that BS / lawyering up all day long.
Besides that, the guy just doesn't know how to drive apparently ? (you being at a stop, he didn't turn enough & crashed into you literally) - that wouldn't last 3 minutes in France, 100% his fault & move on. I hope he won't be rewarded with money for his bad behaviour, the US is literally dying from that with the orange crooked chieftain at the very top, like Don Corleone.

Consider yourself lucky if the other driver actually has insurance. Not only are drivers in the US some of the worst in the world, they are also the most irresponsible. If you have a recording of him being aggressive, it will go your way.

Yep, he refused to provide insurance info aka he prob don’t have it. And how so? I do but the lawyer I had a consultation didn’t think that would do much

1) is an agressive f...head
2) doesn't know how to drive
3) maybe doesn't have a licence?
3) has no car insurance
how in the hell could he win his way out of this with money instead of paying a huge fine, or go to jail ? (that would have a good chance to happen in France)

You got one thing wrong here he did have a license however I did found out that he had his license revoked before back in 2018. But yeah man welcome to America!

I feel for you man...
And thx for the welcome (I know it's just an expression obviously ) : I've travelled to ~35 countries at my venerable age (52YO), most of them several times , including the US, but I vouched not to set a foot back in this beautiful country as long as your WOMI (weapon of mass ignorance), ie the "orange duck who thought he was king" hasn't been dealt with.
