Taycans everywhere!

I don't daily drive the Taycan, and only take it out on weekends to drive the family around. Living in SF, CA, Taycans are actually a rare car compared to SoCal and SF Peninsula areas. On my last two extensive drives I noticed an unusually high number of Taycans. It's probably all related to the good weather we're having, but have anyone else noticed an uptick of Taycan sightings in general?

On Wednesday, late morning, in a 1 hr round trip driving SF to SFO area I saw (all j1.1):
- frozen berry RWD or 4S
- white or ice grey Turbo S
- ice grey GTS
- volcano grey GTS


On the prior Sunday, mid-afternoon in a 1.5 hr round trip driving SF to Peninsula and back I saw:
-pale blue j1.2 GTS
-black RWD or 4S
-frozen blue RWD or 4S
-volcano grey GTS
-white GTS

Ironically all cars were sedans and not a single wagon.

On my fly-and-drive home from Florida to Maryland, I saw a J1.2 at my first charging stop, parked in the adjacent space. Locally, I’ve spotted two J1 sedans in the past month: a silver one at an intersection and a black one passing by on a quiet country road. As a new owner, I might just be experiencing frequency illusion, lol

I’ve seen a few more here and there and get all giddy when I see a ST or CT. Like yesterday in Pleasanton, I saw a blacked out CT that exited the freeway and I zipped by it.

The only real sighting in Indiana are on dealer lots. I am surprised to see one or two occasionally, but if it is in a dark color then it does not stand out, but there is one who I know the owner when I see it in white with matt ppf, that looks spectacular. I get constant looks anywhere I go, as I am by far the best looking car of them all in town. Occasional Bently with its shower looking led surrounds or a Rolls all look like stuffy old boats that no one cares about. Most recently I was parking, and a group of bikers took a moment to say that those are the best looking rims they have every seen and I agree, this by far the most unique and beautifully designed wheels and I have them matching the body color that no one really expects.

I’ve been wondering the same thing! I see about four or five on the daily in North Atlanta/Buckhead - granted I am looking for them. A few times a week I will pull into a parking lot with at least one other. Almost always white, chalk or black. Still a huge treat to see ones in color or a CT/ST. Passed my doppelgänger on the road a few days ago. Never thought I’d see one!

I haven't seen another Pale Blue GTS yet, but I doubt you saw me (I was out for a brief time in the late afternoon to Campbell and back). So somewhere near I have a twin.

There are 4 other Taycans in my immediate area and I see them pretty frequently driving around. Still pretty rare though.

The Mission E's are nice but aren't true Mission E's actually.
The real Mission E's are 7 spoke, like on the Mission E prototype.

The Mission E's on the production model are 5 spoke, unfortunately.

Rotiform has true Mission E's in their program.
They are so much better, I love 'm!

sorry, my brain was thinking Pale Blue, but I recall now it was actually Shade Green. It was the first time seeing this color in person for me

There is a neighbor that lives on the next block that has a Neptune Blue RWD. She/he honks at me when I'm out on my driveway.

However, I just noticed another house about 5 blocks away has a white sedan on Mission Es. They park in the driveway, and I don't often drive that block, but I have seen it 3x already in the last 3 weeks on front of their house, so I'm thinking it's new-ish.

Where I am in south OC in SoCal, there were lots of Taycans the first 3~4 yrs after the intro, and they almost all have disappeared. Now days, I see about the same numbers of Taycans nd GT eTrons on the road. There were two (Turbo and 4S) on my street but they both are gone now (replaced)

Interestingly enough, I see more new Panameras than Taycans these days.

I went to Stater Brothers in Ladera Ranch yesterday and saw 2 Taycans in the parking lot (mine made 3). I like driving something different than everyone else, but I did want an EV and not a Tesla, so Taycan it is. I would prefer a 2-door, but nothing out there that I liked.
