It's being rolled out, but will takes weeks before it reached everyone. At least that happened with last OTA's.

I got some more info from my dealer. The fix consist of an OTA part which is rolling out right now, and a new control unit fix which needs a dealer visit. Only Taycan owners with failing navigation will get the control unit fix.

83 pages of posts, does anyone have a summary what happened and what the remedies are?

In a nutshell: Nav stalls every 5-10 minutes for 30 seconds in europe/uk since last July. Some of us got new PCM's to fix the issue. Now finally there is a SW patch, everyone will get an OTA coming weeks. Taycans with issues can come in for new firmware.

And some of us got refunds on our Porsche Connect monthly charges until the fix was implemented due to it being effectlvely useless when PCM doesn't work reliably

Meaning the new recall of WTG1 is only for owners will failing navigation and I will get firmware 3982 via OTA without dealer visit?
As I checked Porsche Amsterdam today and they can’t see WTG1 on their system for my Taycan

OTA update is not capable of updating the PCM (your Porsche Center will call it rekeneenheid) itself, so no 3982 update will be rolled out OTA. What you will get is individual app updates (music player, news, weather etc) and ECU updates.

I have no clue why WTG1 is not available for you. Weird. Time will tell.

The only annoying thing I have with the navigation is that directions are often extremely late (e.g. when I’m actually already taking the turn!). Is this also related to this update? Or is this a general know annoyance
I usually keep track of the map to anticipatie upcoming events but miss one every now and then

It took my 8 months for them to admit there was a problem and stop claiming they'd never heard of nav issues before...so that doesn't surprise me. I'm booked in for MOT in mid-June so hoping they'll have figured it out by then
