Glad to see that in Europe you already have the ability to configure a 2027 GTS Sports Turismo. Guessing soon in the U.S. we will have CT/GTS ST configuration ability. More fun configurator time ahead.

I am excited that we get the E-shift option (was pleased at its roughly $1K price for expected much more than that). Its presence confirms what “TheDrive” stated more than six months ago that is was coming.

We have Porsche confirmation in the video and the press release the E-shift can be easily turned on and off.

Seeing multiple articles confirming CT/ST are dead for the US market due to low take rates. Disappointing for sure, maybe next gen (if that happens) brings it back or BMW decides to do an iM3 Touring for the US.

There we were hoping the Black Edition was a final feature-dump model before a new version and now we probably have 2-3 more years of the same car with some gimmicks added.

For years car manufacturers worked hard to make auto gear changes smoother, now we have ultimate smooth linear power and they’re putting gear shifts back in. Quite funny really

I had the chance to try the Ioniq 6N with their simulated gearbox, rev limiter and engine noise and it was extremely convincing. If it manages to be as good, then it's going to be a loads of fun
I own an Ioniq 5N and I detest those features. Only turn them on to show someone how dorky they are.

On one hand, I agree with you. It is dorky and a gimmick but is - sometimes - fun to have and enable.

On the other hand however, most of the ICE enthusiasts hide behind the excuse of "not feeling nor hearing a sound", "the emotions coming of an engine". And so, if it can give a push to these people to convert from ICE to EV, I'm all up for it!

2027 US configurator still does not want you know what features are included in standard headlights:
Porsche Taycan 2027 Taycan gets E-Shift, larger battery and much more - new model year! 1781725554050-6o

Auto high beams, static cornering lights, and PDLS not listed for standard "Matrix Design LED headlights". Implies US buyer needs to add $1800 option for auto high beams, etc. ... :facepalm:
