There is an absolutely HUGE advantage to being the only EV roadster the market. Very different than being one of 30 sedans or 50 SUVs.

If they wait too long, the Tesla roadster and EV Corvette will take some of their buyers.

Not in the US though. Would still be the only roadster (or coupe) in the US.

I did see that one in Europe. Does look pretty cool, but guessing it’s small volume.

I agree.

And the Cyberster wouldn't be on the minds of Boxster/Porsche buyers IMO.

At least not if Porsche get a move on. Leave it too later and the bleed could happen the other way.

I'd bet money on the biggest dramas being software.

I’ve given up wait for a 718E too but went slightly different to KLHubb by ordering a 2026 911T - back to basics with MT, plated diff and fewer driver aids. After my experience with a Taycan J1.1, I’ll not be ordering version 1 of another Porsche EV anytime soon…,

I went for the 2026 911S because I have a bionic knee and also wanted rear wheel steering.
I find the S to be the sweet spot...the new hybrid GTS is noisy bruiser, only half way to full electric.

I did the same. I have just ordered a 911 Targa 4 S as my GTS Will be 3 years old next june. It will allow me to wait untill the 718Ev is available.
I will miss my Taycan wich is one that f the best car ever owned. I will also miss Taycan Forum. Perhaps a 911 Group will be created there to help everyone who need information about the car and possible issues or recalls.
I will go on following Taycan forum just to be kept inform about Porsche EV.

I will be keeping my 2020 Taycan 4S, and will sell my '09 997.2S instead. I have driven it for 15 years, and will miss it for sure, but keeping it would be owning too many Porshes for me.

Can't wait to order one, it's gonna cannibalize Taycan sales and i think this is the main hold, i also assume gonna be priced lower then 4S taycans, which is pretty value!
