Yes one per year is my average as well. The car is going in tomorrow for 6 year service and check for 12 volt battery, plus all the navigation updates.Poor form really that Porsche are just replacing a defective and poorly designed part with another defective and poorly designed part.
My 23 has had two replacement heaters so basically one a year, I want to go away on a road trip December this year, I’m fully expecting it to die mid trip
I've heard that Tesla model Y has had some problems with these as well, albeit, far less common/recurring.I have not heard about any other brand that has had so much problems with heaters.
The only problem that Tesla Model Y could have with an HV resistive heater is that Tesla never put one in.I've heard that Tesla model Y has had some problems with these as well, albeit, far less common/recurring.
Well then, whatever is responsible for heating in a Tesla, I have heard several cases of them breaking at my office alone, specifically on model yThe only problem that Tesla Model Y could have with an HV resistive heater is that Tesla never put one in.
I took it to Leicester (who aren't my usual OPC) as they could see me within about 3 weeks. The loan car was part of the bookingrb33gl; How long did you have to wait for the loaner?
IIRC Model Y has about a dozen sources if heat, including the motors (which can generate a lot of heat, even when stopped), heat-pump, they even scavenge the heat from the infotainment and auto-pilot computers, and the screens. There is a good series of videos on youtube (3 videos, about an hour each) where a guy describes the Tesla thermal management- it is very sophisticated, yet rather simple implementation (google “Tesla octopus valve”). Not sure what could have broken in your coworkers’ cars. I haven’t been tracking Model Y online forums.Well then, whatever is responsible for heating in a Tesla, I have heard several cases of them breaking at my office alone, specifically on model y
Yes you are a winner! Porsche gladly will offer you a complementary guaranteed future replacement for free!!!Going for a World record.
Heater replaced 15 December............ Heater blowing cold air only; 9th January, 75 miles later.
Do I win a prize?
I'd settle for equivalent or better Porsche loaner on day one, and a year of bumper to bumper warranty extension for each month the car spends in service.Yes you are a winner! Porsche gladly will offer you a complementary guaranteed future replacement for free!!!
