You might have lost your signals in the side mirrors too--I believe it's only an NAR thing. I've been trying to figure out how to re-enable those as well.
There are turn signals in the mirrors??? I did my matrix enablement shortly after getting the car 3 years ago, perhaps I didn’t realize I had turn signals in the mirrors prior to enabling matrix.

what are the signals in the side mirrors- LCA LED lights? I will look closely if that is the case.
The amber indicator in the housing. Now @whitex is making me second myself if Taycans even had those in the first place

Can someone confirm? Lol

The only lights on my side mirrors are: LCA lights (3 square LEDs) and the bottom puddle light. No turn indicators on mirrors.

Turn indicators are on:
- the 4 DRL lights in headlight
- front side markers on bumper
- rear lightbar

@mystermykee update: my LCA side mirror lights and puddle lights still work as expected.

So do mine. I could’ve sworn there were turn indicators in the side mirror housings.

Can someone who doesn’t have an EU coded BCM1 confirm?
I honestly don’t remember ever having them. I do remember thinking I was glad I don’t have them after driving my wife’s car and realizing both indicators are on the mirror and the same amber color. Where do you remember seeing them and what color?

Taycans don’t have turn signal indicators on the mirrors. The indicators are in the headlight and the side repeater on the front fender. If you have Lane Change Assist, there are three small square LEDs on the mirror housing that illuminate to warn you when a car is approaching and it isn’t safe to change lanes.

ZFAS: Automatic_highbeam_during_standstill

IMG_1313.webp

related settings:

ZFAS: (not in kodeirwert) Twilight_threshold_of_highbeam_assist:
Deactivation_brightness (default: 6.00)
Activation_brightness (default: 1.5)

Deactivation_brightness (when car encounters street lights / other vehicle lights) seems fine.

The activation_brightness can likely benefit from being increased (I set mine to 3.0, but have not tested it yet) so highbeam assist is more eager to activate in more scenarios.

Steering wheel heating set point temperature setting:
SMLS: Steering_wheel_heating_adaption (adjust all Temperature_1/2/3).

35 deg. C is ~ 98 deg. F and is too hot for bare hands; I don't drive with gloves, which is what the default suits. I've lowered to 31 deg..

I see so much value in a full blown licensed copy of PIWIS that I’m considering buying it. Is that something that’s available to the public?

If you buy from one of the closed dealerships from China.

Speedometer display interval
KOMBI LG: Tachokennlinie: Anzeigeintervall digitale Geschwindigkeit
(translates to: Speedometer characteristic curve: Display interval digital speed)

Default: 500ms (equivalent to 2 HZ)

Recommended: 100ms (equivalent to 10 HZ) or down to 60ms (16.67 HZ); lower may introduce unnecessary jitter (I tried 20ms, it was too fast); value needs to be in increments of 20ms.

Here's Claude's take:
Default: 500ms (updates twice per second)
For a Taycan Turbo S with:
∙ 0-60 mph: ~2.6 seconds
∙ 0-100 km/h: ~2.6 seconds
∙ Acceleration rate: ~38 km/h per second (0-100 km/h in 2.6s)

Recommended value: 100-200ms, Why:

At 500ms (default), during hard acceleration:
∙ Speed changes by ~19 km/h between updates
∙ Display feels laggy and jumpy during launches
∙ Not responsive enough for a performance EV

At 100ms (10 updates/sec):
∙ Speed changes by ~3.8 km/h between updates
∙ Smooth, real-time feel during acceleration
∙ Still not excessive refresh rate
This is one of my favorites and I had thought was a hardware limitation on the Taycan's processing capability or display unit. The default value is likely a visual/cognitive accommodation for some drivers. For those that miss the speedometer refresh rate of a Tesla, this is a must.

Update: setting needs to be in increments of 20ms (updated above).

I'm going to up the interval. My car is going to be too fast for the digital speedo.

Does the speedo on the IC and HUD keep up with higher rates (do they refresh fast enough)?
