Unexpectedly got an email this morning saying my 2024 Taycan CT 4S has left Emden! Looking at the json it seems it is on Lake Wanaka. I was not expecting it to leave Emden so soon: it arrived at Emden on June 26 (slightly ahead of schedule), and had been delayed once but wasn't forecast to leave until July 14. Exciting it is that one step closer!

June 18: Manufacturing started
June 22: Manufacturing complete
June 23: On way to Emden
June 26: Arrived Emden
July 6: Left Emden
July 28: Predicted for Houston

Siem Confucius left Emden 2 days ago and will arrive in Baltimore (my arrival port for Columbus OH) in 8 days. I had hoped that my CT (with an already delayed departure date of July 6 which was then pushed back to July 13 [same as @TLC]) was on it but My Porsche hasn’t changed and I’ve had no email updates either. Hard to believe there will be another Baltimore-bound ship leaving Emden next week so I’m expecting the dates to get pushed back again unless a miracle is in the works.

Sadly I slipped from July to August. Waiting in Emden for a ride to Houston, and hope I make it on the Sunshine Ace, due to arrive Emden July 16.

In Emden since May 8th, the car was built May 4th then being stuck in Emden port since May 8th

Siem Aristotle is currently moored at the Porsche loading area in Emden. Destination not yet published but it’s been to ports on the USA East coast several times already this year. My projected ship date is this Thursday so I have my fingers crossed that this is THE one - and for some of you too !

Update - First Port of call will be Davisville (RI) on Jul 22. No other info yet but Sparrows Point (Baltimore) was 2-3 days later for previous trips this year.
2.30pm - the ship just left Emden - now I’m waiting for that elusive status update ….

Woke up this morning to check TYD and "You've got to be effing kidding me!"*

Production complete moved another five weeks from July 24 to the very end of August and delivery is now firmly into October.

According to my new SA's information from Porsche (yes, this purchase has outlasted an SA at the dealership) the delay is due to WNT8. You know, the three day to one week hold sending vehicle log data to Porsche.

We're not event into shipping delays or random quality holds after it reaches the dealer. I doubt we'll get the car before 2024.

My wife is ready to give up and go elsewhere.

Is your ordered vehicle a MY23 or MY24? If MY23 then you should be getting a MY24 at no extra cost If you’re looking at Oct delivery.

I was told WNT8 for my car that’s been sitting in Jacksonville for 9 weeks now. Don’t know what that means or why it’s taken so long….

Is your ordered vehicle a MY23 or MY24? If MY23 then you should be getting a MY24 at no extra cost If you’re looking at Oct delivery.

It was built as a 23 back in April. It's been sitting as in production since then. I try to be patient, but you are correct, at what point does a model year 23 vehicle become a "used car."

It's 11 weeks "in production" for ours and a projected 18 weeks just to build the car. Whatever WNT8 is, the one place in the world where they should have the parts, trained personnel, and tools to repair it should be exactly where our car supposedly is.
