I feel like this may be a stupid question, but I searched the forum and couldn't find anything on it, so apologies if I missed it.

I was wondering if anyone knows if there's a way to turn the cameras on manually while driving. Of course, when I put the car in reverse, the cameras come on, but sometimes when parking front-end first, the sensors & cameras are a bit slow/late to come on (I'd like them to come on earlier), or sometimes I'd like to turn the cameras on when making a tight turn, etc.

Thanks.

Not while the car is moving. If you are moving slowly or at a complete stop, the center console with the climate controls should have a Parking camera icon on the bottom left. Press it.

I have the diamond button on the dash programmed for the cameras. I use it for that exact scenario.

This. I use the custom Diamond button on the steering wheel. You will find it in settings. The car is so bloody big with the turning circle of a tanker I don't know how people live without doing it.

Thanks, buruburu - I'll try that on my way to work here in a few mins. Appreciate it.

I’d recommend just pushing the park assist button shown in post #4. The programmable diamond button(s) are too precious to use for a function that already has a button dedicated to it in the center console.

I did the exact same thing as I like the cameras on a bit sooner than they automatically come on when parking nose first and when entering my garage.

Why diamond button if you already have it on the screen?

But you don't. It's for when I want the 360 view when NOT parking. Going down or up curvy car park ramps. Squeezing by another car coming from the other direction. Pulling out of a parking bay forward and turning and I don't want to scrag the car to the side I am turning or the one in an opposite bay. All sorts of reasons. England roads are as wide as your finger and the Taycan has the turning circle of an oil tanker.

Do you have rear wheel steering?

No. My only regret. Had to go in head first to a free Pod Point 7kw charger at Bluewater today. Took a 10 point turn as my charging cable was too short. Should have got 10m in hindsight. Actually I have just talked myself into doing that.

I have driven quite a lot on UK roads lately and they are much wider than the French country roads! If you have rear wheel steering the car is very nimble. I have no experience without it. But much better than a Tesla M3 or a BMW M5!
