CAR won't accelerate

Hi all,
i have a 2022 Taycan 4S. Sometimes my car won't accelerate, and will stay on the same speed. Has this happened to anyone else?

i have a 2022 Taycan 4S. Sometimes my car won't accelerate, and will stay on the same speed. Has this happened to anyone else?

Check whether the speed limiter is set to a specific MPH or KMH value. If so, disable the speed limiter function.

Also if you are in range mode that has a limit.

And it will go faster if you get near flooring it in those modes, which makes it seem like something is off.

Or maybe you are actually driving a base Macan loaner….

There is a glitch with these cars that randomly keeps the car from accelerating. Search the forum, a few anecdotes of this happening to various members. It has happened to mine twice, a few years ago, hasn't happened since.

It’s probably either range mode, or low battery.

Because is in range mode and you have to press more on the pedal. Mine does that at 120km/h. Or you press more or set it normal mode.

I had that happen once. noticed the Auto regen was on. turned it off and have not had the problem since.

It happened to mine once when it got really hot.

The yellow turtle icon was showing on the dash.

It recovered when it cooled off.

At what speed does it stop accelerating (obviously is accelerated some, or the car would be stationary)?

I felt it was limiting itself to the posted speed limit with Auto regen on.

bear with him, guys. i think he's still driving back from where he was, at a 5mph max speed. he might reply in a couple weeks when he gets back home ;-)

Or maybe ran out of charge after driving stuck at 155mph while attempting to accelerate.
