Used the charge planner yesterday to include a stop at Ionity Cobham.

Watched the planner/nav during the journey and could see 1/6, 2/6 and 3/6 in use.

Arrived at Cobham services with 2/6 showing in use.

In fact, all 6 were in use despite the planner/nav remaining at 2/6.

Waited for 20 minutes before one became free, which was massively frustrating.

Is this experience normal, can you not rely on the planner/nav EVSE information?

The other frustrating thing, another EV turned up and was actively scanning all 6 stations which made me realise the lack of a queuing system!

On the plus side, when I plugged in, ‘plug and play’ worked seamlessly and I saw 253kw almost immediately (before leaving to use the services).

I have had the same experience a few times. But I then also checked with other apps on my phone. I found similar information on Chargefinder and ABRP. So perhaps this is an Ionity problem by not updating the information about chargers in teal time?? Would be interesting to hear others experience when comparing the info from Porsche Charging Planner and any app on the mobile!

It has only recently started showing status in my car and so far has been accurate (only 1 test!). My understanding is that the first number is the number of charging points available, rather than number in use.
