CT alarm issue, how common is it?

Got my car on 24 Jan and so far have had this issue a few times the first week I had the car. Noticed the alarm message going off notifying me on my phone. Remote access didn't work either on the car when I tried. I removed/unconnected the car from my account then re-connected it and that solve the not being able to access the car functions remotely. Now can unlock and see all the car data form the car such as charge state and lock/unlock from my phone app or Porsche account online. Less false alarms since then also. Have used the interior monitoring off before when it went off a few times at work. Not sure if Porsche did an OTA update or not by less alarm issues last week or so. My car is a 2 Taycan CT4 by the way.

Got the new sensor last week. But the problem is still there. Must be a software issue I guess.

I can’t wait till I can keep the car charging overnight! Double click lock works but charging complete seems to reset the motion alarm. And touching the app randomly sets it off like this morning. Still love it though!!

Did you make sure you got the new part number and not just a replacement with the old part number?

We disable via the popup on the pcm when you shutdown. No issues since doing that each time. No problem charging overnight. The double click on the remote only sometime worked.

I can’t wait. My dealer ordered the part a couple of weeks ago and was scheduled to arrive last Friday.

I can't wait either! My part was meant to arrive a couple of weeks ago but failed to show up, so my appointment is pushed back to next week.

I’m also waiting on the part; only complaint I have with the car. It’ll get the sensor and the latest firmware updates at the same time.

Had a call from my dealer this morning, part just arrived and booked in Wednesday to get it switched out (as well as the new firmware update for the motor/transmission that came out last week).

Fingers crossed I can start using the interior sensor - or rather, not have to remember to disable it each time I get out and lock the car!

MY22 delivered in Dec 21’. Up until last week the double click has worked every time to avoid false alarms. But just this week I’ve had the alarm go off repeatedly even when I am 100%sure I did the double click. Happens at home and at work.
Have been using the app (connect, then myporsche since the last release a month or so ago) so no other behavioral changes from me.

Booked an appointment with my dealer before all this happened but they told me they have to inspect the car first before they can order the part so a bit of a hassle having to make 2 trips and the waiting.

I had to do the same; the good news is that after they ordered and installed the part, I no longer had the issue.

Yes, there is a new part number required to fix this issue.
