PCM stuck on Porsche logo (passenger display stuck with “Taycan”)

Second time that this has happened, start car and the main PCM display gets stuck on the Porsche logo, passenger display with Taycan logo. Radio starts playing eventually but screen never comes up. Two-finger reboot does not fix this, it reboots, but gets stuck at the same logo screen. Screen came back after parking overnight the first time this happened, will see if it comes back tomorrow.

Two-finger reboot brings up engineering mode, there is an option to reboot, does this always happen when rebooting?

Resurrecting this thread as opposed to starting a new one -

PCM was stuck on porsche logo. Tried the 2 finger reset to engineering mode. screen is now stuck in the engineering mode. Left overnight (plugged in) and locked, still the same. Any suggestions?

Just chiming in to reply this has happened to me about 5x (‘22 GTS). Nothing works except power down and waiting.

Try the turn off car, exit and stay away with key fobs out of range for at least 30 minutes reset.
Have not seen 'stuck in engineering mode' issue.
If none of this works, then try temp disconnect of 12v battery. Post in here shows detailed how to.

Yep, mines a GTS - ‘23 first time I’ve seen this issue but had to do the 2 finger a couple of times.

Car was parked up and keys well away overnight so hoping at some point there’ll be a reboot. I may try the batt disconnect tomorrow if no reset.

I got an update that it only works if someone is sitting in the passenger seat.

I think if that is the intention what ever sensor manages it is not working well, as my observation is the passenger display has a mind of its own on when it works and doesn’t.
