Rear quarter view is far from typical Ferrari good looking — and with range less than a Mustang Mach-E.

600k for Prius design and performance that can be had for 10x less.
One must really love that badge
The absolute ugliest Ferrari ever conceived. Nothing in the interior’s center console flows in any seamless way. There are so many crevices for dirt & dust to get caught in so I guess if you can afford one of these at the absolute ridiculous price offered then you can afford to have a car detailer follow you around to make sure dust & dirt don’t collect. This is not a Ferrari. This is a big luxury Italian iPhone with wheels. I’ll be shocked if they sell many of these but then again I’ve been blown away how many people think the Cybertruck is a cool looking truck when it’s a completely uninspired wedge design with terrible fit & finish which is reminiscent of trailer park, white trash design cues. I’m not saying this is not attractive in some ways but it’s an uninspiring vehicle which makes you feel an emotional connection like every other Ferrari has done in its history.
Ferrari is going to regret this design choice.

I just can't believe this passed focus groups or whatever process they go through to sign off on a design. Is it just not possible to use something similar to the body style of a Portofino with a battery? That would sell, but not for 600K. 300k tops even if the design was amazing
The stock has fallen 6% since the unveiling

I think sometimes they just don't care what the customer thinks because they know better.
The Steve Jobs method
The Steve Jobs method may work when selling personal computers, it's a quite different story when selling cars in the very top premium segment where potential customers are a bit more picky.....

The design is somewhat interesting, but it does not appear sporting at all. Almost as though they wish to position Ferrari as something other than just a performance car manufacturer.

And the price is truly obscene.

I can imagine how those meetings went.
Super expensive designer who throws around nonsense like "pushing the boundaries", "outside the box", "revolutionary and ground breaking design language" etc etc
Senior management just approving to avoid being the "old guy who doesn't get with the times".

Well that thing sure wont cannibalize sales for their other cars, so if that was a requirement they nailed that one.

In my humble opinion, the Luce exterior does not quite qualify as "fugly" but it is anything other than badass automotive design. The interior, well, it is just stupid. Give me 10 minutes with ChatGPT and I could do better on both the inside and outside of this car. On the bright side, the Taycan remains the most beautiful EV on the planet, and I do not have to lust after a Ferarri EV that I can't afford.

Prius… Italian job. Wait. I actually like the Prius styling a bit more IF I had to choose. I’m convinced these companies don’t beta test the styling with focus groups. There soo much secrecy and camouflage pre production. Love EV evolution but this is not it. Second company to strike out on looks along with the GT 4 door

Out of curiousity, I instructed ChatGPT to make the Purosangue into a more aerodynamic design, suitable for an EV, and redesign the dash such that it was more like a modern 911 and less like something from Toyota. Ferarri could have saved a lot of time and money had they relied on AI rather than some iPhone genius.

Interesting. But 600k? Wow.

The instrument clusters look like a Jeep (not in a good way). They could have used the same touches but in a much more classy, less Tonka toy way.

Externally....bit of a shame they didn't go all out on a 2-door or Taycan like saloon....but I don't dislike it.

I don't like it 600k though.
Not a problem.
I'm going to wait 6 months and buy a lightly used one for £15k.
😆

Joking aside though, if they tank like everyone thinks they will, it could be an epic used purchase.

I bet it drives really well and all the components are made by Ferrari - to ensure future serviceability.

If you can live with its looks (big 'if') it could be a great used buy.

I just showed a picture to my wife. She squished her face and asked “…is that the back or the front?”

And I didn’t know.

By the time it depreciates sufficiently, those used Ferrari parts may cost used Ferrari prices - if we think Porsche is bad...

For sure, the Luce is the Cyberturck of Ferarris. Gino, thank you sincerely for your spot-on description of the cybertruck, it brought a smile to my face! I truly hate that f'ing thing.
