I’m complete idiot. Was manoeuvring out of a tight gap close to wall at the front but didn’t realise I was quite so close to a wall behind, and reversed into it. I think the bumper can be repaired but is the lower bumper part all one piece? Mine has the off-road package if it makes a difference?

Unfortunately you can see holes in the plastic. Those parts are going to have to be replaced. Might just be an insurance claim.

The painted and black bumpers are two pieces. All the sensors are salvageable. Not bad, could be worse.

Someone backed into mine while it was parked and that made very similar damage to my rear bumper. The painted part was fixed and painted, the black plastic trim was replaced.

First, I'm so sorry!! I f it's any consolation I crunched one of my wheels the first time I tried to parallel park. They don't make it easy.

Second, some where on this forum there is a link to a video of a young man in the UK who rebuilt a Taycan and posted his working in excruciating detail. He found a lot of parts cheaper online. Worth a look. Good luck!

I’m so sorry this happened! In case it helps you, here’s a schematic of the rear bumper and associated costs in USD. Mine’s a ‘26 4SBE. An unmanned car not put in park rolled into the back of mine in a parking lot. The good news is the parts came quickly.

Depends I think on what Park Assist option you have. It must have manoeuvring assist (part of 360 / 2D / 3D / panoramic option) and it not be disabled during the manoeuvre (I disable mine when reversing out of the garage to avoid the brakes been slammed on for example).

Be prepared for a big bill if you do replace.

I had similar damage after being hit but with the diffuser area also damaged. All cosmetic nothing structural.

I asked the repairer how much they would bill the insurers and they said £12k! The job sheet I got at the end said they had to take the back seats out to make the repairs.

I did very similar too (Ice Grey).

Reversed into a low metal post in a car park, which the sensors didn't pick up.

Got it fixed by chips-away to a really good standard, for very little cost. Fill and spray.

You couldn't see where it had been repaired at all, apart from one very small mark on the plastic wheel arch.
