My 2020 4S went dead in January. Took it to the dealer at that time and they still haven't gotten the parts. They said it may take "months" to get the parts from Germany with everything going on. They gave me a Macan to use which was great but it is now almost March and still no resolution in sight. Now the dealership is asking for me to bring the Macan back since they said I can't keep the loaner this long but my Taycan still isn't fixed. So I'm having to go pick up my still defective car and drive it around being cold until this part comes in which who knows how long it will take.

Yup... me too. 2020 4S. Heating just stopped working and this forum was my first stop... Imagine my excitement when I read all these! Agree re: Seat Heaters Saving My Ass. Next stop the dealer. Thanks all for sharing.

Same here, heater just stopped. No matter what setting it just pumps out cold air.
Was a bit of a dodgy drive home as windscreen fogged up in seconds while driving home, took ages to clear with freezing cold air blowing on it, wish had gone for the steering wheel heater now!

I recently had no heat for the passenger side. AC would work. The dealer found a failed extended ventilation servo motor failed. It was producing fault code B174A09 visible by PIWIS. Major work to replace this: A pillars, PCM screen, center console & dash board.

Had the WNA5 campaign applied and a bunch of PCM recodes to fix stupid little issues. I noticed WMP5 campaign was the first thing done to the car - Pressure check and recharge of refrigerant -- I had no issues with heater.
Two weeks in the shop later, I found it weird when my SA told me he personally checked my heating systems before I picked up my MY'20 4S from service yesterday. Even though he said it was working, I realized on the drive home that the cabin wasn't warming up.
Car is now back in service with no ETA due to "parts backlog."
Have had the car in service for over 4 months total time since owning this car (14 months total) at the start of 2020.
Love driving, not loving all the problems.

Check you states lemon law, this car likely qualifies. Porsche will buy it back and you can get a 22 instead

Picked up my car on Thursday, after yet another Gateway communications change. As well as a change of USB connectors.
SW update (recall??) WNA5?also performed as well as several updates to the PCM and navigation. 2 year service was also performed as the car is planned to go on long trips in April and May. Service Agent confirmed they had performed checks and necessary updates to all ECU (100+) in the car as well.
Yesterday evening with outside temperatures down to 4 Celsius, the heater refused to work. On the way to the airport to pick up family for the Easter break. The car steamed up quite quickly with all passengers and luckily the seat heaters and steering wheel heater worked.
Very disappointed to have further problems.
Flatbed to Dealer as this is a Safety issue here.
Still waiting for a loaner or rental car 12 hours later. Excuse by Porsche Assistance. “They are unable to find a suitable rental car. Only City cars were available!” The dealer will not provide a loaner and Porsche France really does not care.
Seems so many of the cars have these issues after 2 years?
I do need a car with 4 seats at least, for the Easter break when all visitors are arriving.
Of course no warning or fault message in the car and guess only visible with the PIWIS system

Second time the heater in my 4S has stopped working. It seems to break when the weather gets colder! Off the road for 3 weeks last time. They tell me it will be at least 2 weeks before the parts arrive back in stock. Having second thoughts about the GTS I've ordered...

Broken heater eliminates windshield defrosting and defogging. It is a serious safety defect.
It should be reported to your country's auto safety regulators. In US that is NHTSA . Here is link for UK: https://www.gov.uk/vehicle-recalls-and-faults/report-a-serious-safety-defect

There are over 70 owners who have posted in online forums about Taycan heater failures in the last several years. At least 3 have had a second failure a year after the first heater was replaced.
This recurring Taycan safety problem needs more public and regulatory attention, not just acceptance.
In April, 2022, Porsche issued a TSB for replacing the heater , limited to 57 Taycans, and described as affecting 2020 and 2021 models only.
No mention in the TSB that defrosting and defogging are impaired when heater fails.
Porsche is well aware that heater failures have occurred in many more than 57 Taycans in all model years, not just 2020 and 2021.
Government safety regulators need to be informed of this safety defect.
Note: US has vehicle safety standard for Windshield Defrosting and Defogging Systems. Report heater failure as a Visibility Safety defect. "No heat for passenger cabin" is not a safety defect in US.

Add me to the list. My 2021 4S only blowing cold air. Windows were fogging and it was difficult to see on my way home. Calling dealer on Monday but after reading this forum I’m not too happy.
Update: took it to my dealer Porsche Pittsburgh. Gave me a Taycan 4S loaner. They replaced the high volume passenger compartment heater a two day job. They delivered my car to my house and collected the loaner. Great service!

Well add me to the list - my 21’ Taycan 4S heater stopped today. Ironic my AC stopped working this summer and now this. Not winning any JD powers with these defects.
