I just got the ARB7 OTA update!

Just dropped in - I’ve been trying to schedule an appointment at the new facility in Los Gatos, but their web system errors out every time I try.

It’s right by my Starbucks so I popped in and got a tour, and a service advisor’s card.

I was hoping to get recall-clear for a little while.

When I got back from a trip my 4s told me there was an OTA update available. I followed the instructions (I thought), but after 3 tries the install hadn’t worked. I would get this spinning disc view, but when I exited and locked the car nothing happened.

Finally, I went to the Settings > Air Conditioning and turned Precool/heat to OFF. This seems to have done the trick, and the update installed.

Going to the NHTSA database I no longer see any recalls on my VIN.

One other observation — Since the OTA update that resolved ARB6 (ARB7 had been resolved by another OTA PCM update in March), I’m getting more estimated mileage. What used to be 240 at 100% is now 252 at 100%, and it is not weather/temperature related. Since I never got better than 260 four years ago I’m pretty happy with this.

I think someone else also observed this, but their post might have been lost during the outage.

My experience with ARB7:
2022 CT4 has the recall open, still didn't get the update OTA
2024 ST GTS didn't have an open recall but prompted the update yesterday, done it today successfully.

Very strange they didn't prioritize the cars with the recall first!
