I recently got a 2023 4s CT with 25k km on it, yet during the winter in Bulgaria with weather ranging from -4C to +5-7C, I can barely get 200km range on 80% battery. I have 20-inch aero wheels with Pirelli P Zero Winter NF0.

I am using the AC on ECO set to 23 degrees, I don't preheat the car in the morning because it loses 5-10% battery for the preheating.

My every day trip to work takes around 20-22 minutes, 12-15 minutes I am on the highway driving with 80-100km per hour(50-60 miles per hour).

The best range I can get with NO AC at all with Range Mode and basically coasting when I can with barely any throttle input is 4.2km/kWh or 2.6 miles/kWh - with the AC on ECO mode set up to 23 degrees celsius the best I get is 3.2km/kWh or 1.98 miles/kWh, most of the time it's 2.6-2.8 km/kWh (in miles 1.61-1.70 miles/kWh) - do you think this is normal?

I see people posting 20-24 kWh/100 km in here, and the only way I can achieve 24 kWh/100 km is with the AC off.

Do you leave your AC off during the winter, or is your car always charged in the morning so that the battery is 20 degrees+ celsius? Mine is from 1 to 4 degrees, because I can't charge it at home yet. How do you achieve such good numbers?

I think if I use the car on Sport Plus I will barely get 150-170 km of range on a full battery if I am a little bit more racey...

How does your tire pressure when cold compare to what is on the door jamb?

If you plug in at home, preheat your car so you use charger power in lieu of battery to heat the cabin. I am in a cold weather climate right now and see the same range of efficiency when I don’t preheat the cabin as the heat uses a ton of battery energy. This seems normal to me.

I think you'll have to wait until the summer for the temperatures to rise, to see better range, and to understand if you have a particular problem with the battery. As the poster above said, not plugging in at home is likely most of the issue. The battery is using a lot of energy to heat itself into the normal range, and a lot of energy to heat the cabin to your liking. When plugged in overnight, the charger / electricity grid will be used to accomplish both of those tasks. And I'm sure your range will improve. One observation that would help confirm this, would be to go to a high speed DC charger, with a low state of charge, after a long drive in the ambient temperature, and charge to 80%. See what you get for actual range on that post-DC fast charge, (battery warm, cabin warm) situation. I bet it's closer to what we all are experiencing.

2.5 bar on all wheels, the door says but for 20 degrees celsius if two passengers 2.6, 2.3 at the back.

Seems a bit low to me. I am in Czechia, with similar temperatures.

I get 280-300 km range on 80% battery with 2021 RWD Taycan after 50k kms on odometer. And I do preheat almost every morning, which feels like eat 1-2% of battery max. but the car is connected to charger over night usually.

AC set to 21 deg with Eco mode active, fan is on auto.

My computer says 25-30 kWh per 100km these days.

The battery temperature is usually above zero. I feel like if the main battery is below zero, then the range goes down faster.

Hope it helps you get perspective...

Right. If you preheat at home when plugged in, it does not drain the battery.
Also, while driving, use seat warming instead of warming.

So all of you are getting 300km+ range only with the AC off? And you only use seat heating and the wheel heating?

Same temperatures as in Bulgaria in Switzerland, with performance plus, I get 360km-380km at 100%; also on 20 inch winters

with performance plus battery.

I believe you have just the performance battery, not the performance plus; which is the small battery

Chun! Ah true... :)

- I have PB+ battery
- and I preheat seats (one bar) and wheel (just a little)
- same wheels: 20-inch aero wheels, at about 2.2 bars

Mine does, a bit, because the maximum output from my dispenser is 7.1kW whereas the heater is 10kW so it does drop my charge by about 1% even when plugged in.

I get 2.4 miles/kWh at the moment on a long run, 1.8 to 2.2 on shorter runs and 2.7 to 2.8 on long runs in summer.

Yeah the range on my CT4 was the same as the non perf battery plus sedan I bought. I thought I would have less range by not buying the bigger battery but it was literally the same. Guess the weight of the car, all wheel drive, and maybe the air suspension made the range less on the CT.

Don't all Cross Turismo have the performance plus battery by default?

range battery is just a guess based on previous driving. it can vary a lot depending on your previous trips (short, AC, highway speed, etc).

I'm sure your battery is fine, and you'll see a better range soon with higher temperatures.

@rockye, are you actually driving the 200km and the battery is showing near 0% (after starting from 80%), or is it that your car is giving you an estimate of 200km range. If the latter, is that with or without any active destination in the Porsche Navigation?
