I know they can't solve it over the phone, but hoping that more owners contact them, they will take it more seriously.
Good luck with that hope: No connectivity - 2020

From anectdotes in the forum, 2025 Taycans seem to have this problem at a higher rate than earlier models.
(Or maybe 2025 Taycan owners here are more vocal.)

Let's not mix up diagnoses for J.1 and J1.2 Taycan -- they have different comms systems.

As this thread is J1.2, and assuming this is the scenario where you are continuing to see "4G" but have no online services (eg Google is greyed out in satnav search) :
- cutting 12V power is unlikely to make any difference, nor is doing a reset (which as mentioned above, will leave you in a worse state because you will not be able to log in again)
- first the OPC may want to run through a bunch of resets (this was posted here a while back) which may take overnight; but in my case it made no difference
- failing that they may need to replace two components
- these may be on back order from Germany (mine took a couple of weeks) so perhaps don't let them sit on your car while they are waiting
- the car is quite drivable until it's fixed -- I did a 3000 mile road trip in mine -- but you will lose live traffic information, Google search, remote climate, and a few other less significant things. Apple CarPlay continues to work fine and provides a usable subset of functionality.
Good luck with that hope: No connectivity - 2020

Slight mod to the Conbox High to accommodate 4G.

On that front, it’s under warranty, if they can’t fix it within a reasonable timeframe they can expect a letter from my solicitor.

My experience with no-LTE symbol/no Porsche Connect situations on my 22 4S -- waited a few days and it restored on its own.

That's a different model, with different issues, from the J1.2 being discussed here.
And the issue here is "4G" is ON but data is broken.

Yes, there is a specific issue with J1.2 comms architecture that only applies to J1.2 Taycans. In my J1 Taycan I had a (different) comms issue but in that architecture a reboot or reset will fix it. In the J1.2 the problem sometimes, but not always, requires hardware replacement.

No idea why, the OPC had no clue and just sees these as black boxes. I would not be surprised if the hardware was OK and it's a problem with registering on the network - but something that the OPC can't do without replacing the whole hardware.

had the issue about three times, two of them solved themselves. Third time it happened again, Porsche replaced the coms- and databox. Since then everything works fine.
will advice to contact your dealer (Amsterdam knows the drill 😜).

by the way, app not refreshing since Friday, but PCM has all the full functionalities

Have this exact issue (4G shown as connected, but no Porsche connected services have a connection) with a <1 year old Panamera 3rd gen.

I'm presuming hardware and PCM version are very similar between Panamera and Taycan. Obviously far few instances searchable of the Panamera issue vs. Taycan.

Booked in with main dealer again after they were unable to resolve in a 'while you wait' visit.

Got the car back from dealer after overnight stay. They managed to reflash the comm box and restore functionalities (with a newer version as I noticed some small differences- like the PCM goodbye message)

I wonder if someone with a MY25 J1.2 Taycan has 5G as a signal as the ConBox should be the same as MY26?
I have 4G, but windering if the hardware is 5G enabled.

I was wondering the same thing. Maybe check the part numbers?

I don't believe the '25 Taycan is 5G enabled, I only see 4G in the PCM even when I have 5G on the cell.

Add me to the ’25 J1.2 owners that lost data connection. The Taycan data has not updated since Jan 5th, other vehicles are connected to the app with no issues.

I’m logged into my account in the PCM, shows 4G, Apple maps work, except no connection to the App. Porsche Connect claims my account is valid and showing connected. I did get two yellow “SOS Emergency Call function error” warnings that have cleared themselves.

I’ve logged in and logged out of the PCM, also removed and re-installed the app, still no connection.

The Dealer rebooted the PCM and thought it was good, but it’s not.

Sound like the faulty Communications module?

Are there any other settings in the PCM I can try?

Yes, likewise with mine. The question is could it be updated to 5G without new hardware. Interestingly the Macan EV, which is of course Android Auto so completely different, just had an OTA update which enabled 5G.

The hardware in the MY25 (and even in MY24 AFAIK) is 5G enabled. The regional eSIM cards are the limiting factor. Germany has a Vodafone service that is 4G limited. If I drive to the Netherlands and on roaming, I get most likely 5G ( to be tested though )
The MY26 cars have a 5G Vodafone eSIM contract from the outset.
