Easy, Evan. I know you're frustrated, and I've already said many of things things you're saying. No one is here to "defend Porsche", so don't take any comment as an attack on you. I'm not doing that, OK?No, you CAN'T.
I mis-phrased, and I'm sorry about that. What I meant was "if you see the charger number in the app, but the kWH is wrong (which is what I'm seeing, as I discussed in another thread), you can start the charge."
Obviously, if the charger doesn't appear at all, you can't start it, although you can call EA and they can start it for you, for free. That's not intended as a defense, just a workaround should you be stuck at a charger you can't activate.
This stuff is definitely rough, as is PCM. Tesla was super rough when it first rolled out, too...I can't tell you how many times I had to call Supercharger service when things weren't working, or were charging super slowly for no reason (other than charger failure). They got better then, and they'll get better here, too.
That's cold comfort if you're stuck at a charger, though - hence the potential workaround.
